When it arrived I thought it was very lightweight, therefore it must be flimsy. I erected the lamp post in the house just to check that all parts were there. I was actually very impressed with the built article. I dug out a deep narrow hole and poured some concrete into it placing the 3 retaining rods into the concrete and fitting the supplied template to ensure correct spacing. I also set a 25mm plastic conduit bend into the concrete to allow the cable through the base. Ensure the base is level as it will save you shimming the base later. I let the concrete harden for 4 days then erected the post. I then wired mine up to a PIR as I preferred that option. The lamp works great.
