What a great machine at a great price. Got mine for 35 quid - that's half the price of the Senseo & Nescafe offerings - and it has more features. This product doesn't deserve even one star!! The day I threw away the box of my SJ666 kettle (after 2 weeks) was the day the light went out & the 2 stage illumination has ceased to work ever since! It's current but more irritating problem is the faulty on switch. Several times over the past few days I've gone to fill up my mug only to find the water is still cold! I also recently noticed that the handle's "metallic" coating is peeling off. 4 months have now passed since I purchased it &(as soon as I've finished writing this) I'm going to bin it & replace with a non-Kenwood model. I would have given this 5 stars if it wasn't for the clumsy way you have to dismantle the lid to clean it. Maybe I've got one that's particularly difficult and hopefully it will loosen as it gets used but at the moment it's a real pain trying to get the rubber seal from the lid, especially when it's got food all over it. Other than that it's a brilliant blender, simple to use and blends really well. Strong construction and one hopefully that will last for years. Expensive but then I've bought ones that have been far cheaper that have either fallen apart within a few months or don't do what they say they can do. Would definitely buy this again but lid assembly could do with a redesign.
