Having a shoulder injury, I am unable to knead bread. I thought the dough hook would do this for me, but if i leave the machine kneading for more than 30 seconds, it jumps all over the place and smells like the motor is burning out. Also the dough ends up tangled all over the inside of the machine and is very difficult to get out and to clean off. When chopping veg, the cutter pulls through full pieces of cabbage without chopping. Carrots go to mush. I have reverted to using a hand grater.

My daughter had one of these for her 13th birthday recently. She has made various icecreams with it which are lovely. It is easy to use and doesn't require loads of ingredients to make something really tasty. The thing that I really like about it that you know the end product is made with natural ingredients and the 'fruity taste' is superb!

This fryer does its job extremely well. Cooking chips is what its employed to do and it performs this task efficiently. However, I bought this particular fryer based on its easy clean functionality and unfortunately it is this that lets it down. Fat splashes quickly build up around the rim and prove excessively difficult to then wash off. Leave it for a couple weeks and you'll find yourself faced with a monumental cleaning task. Perhaps the task would be more easily achieved with a dishwasher which I don't own. Another gripe is the temperature control wheel WILL get greasy at some point and what was already a difficult switch to turn, leads to the entire family taking turns in futile attempts to turn the blighted ... I was wishing for the family to eat more vegetables and thought a helpful way would be through homemade soups. I chose this product because it had a 'clean' unfussy look to it. I liked the idea of the stainless steel piece. When I took it out of it's box it seemed bigger than I thought it would be, and little on the heavy side. It comes with a clear plastic beaker which also has a rubber lid which can be used as a non slip base by putting on the bottom of the beaker when blending in the beaker. It just stores standing in this beaker when you've finished. It works brilliantly it is effecient and powerful. It does have cord attached to it but I don't find that a problem. I bought this today from Comet - £5 cheaper than Amazon and no waiting. I took it home, assembled it (ie. attached the kneading paddle), washed it, 2 minutes with warm water. Added 150ml of water, 250g of Seeded bread mix from Tesco. I set the program pressed GO and 3h 45m later was eating slices of my first ever home baked loaf. Easy peazy! And it cost about 50p, counting electricity and the mix. Now to try it with the raw ingredients. And then add some seeds. And then maybe some pizza dough... It really is simple to use although criticisms about the LCD screen angle and the basket are valid. In my case the problem was the basket being too tight and very hard to get out. It is really diffucult to find correct position for cans. Looks nice but extremely difficult to use. If you have space in your kitchen you can buy as a decorative item but not as a can opener. Do not waste your money...

this item is brill i have never had a kenwood chef befor but i work in a bakery and my boss recomended the kenwood chef seris to me because i was on a budget and this is a brilliant buy the machine is a little nosie but u can still hold a convosation over it with no trouble we have had one at work and it has lasted for 10 years so far and we use it at least 6 times a day even more sumtimes but if u are cak handed like me you might wont to tack to splash gard off its just easyer and the atechments are easy to change and it is so easy to clean every thing so bot reject it because of the price save up and buy this machine its the best mixer i have ever had p.s sorry about the spelling
