If I'd written this review 3 weeks ago, I'd have given this blender 5 stars, however I've had to downgrade to 3... I bought this as I was looking for an inexpensive, stand-alone small blender that I could use a couple of times a day. I wanted something small and easy to wash up that blends well. I was delighted with this blender! It blends better than my bigger, more expensive one that came as part of a mixer set. However, a few days ago when removing the full jug after blending a shake, the jug part came away from the base. I purchased this item a few months ago. The quality is pretty average. After having it for a week, I dropped the main bowl a few inches onto the kitchen surface and the plastic flange which slots into the base unit chipped off. Although it still worked, I did not expect that to happen so easily. I agree with the other comments that the storage unit is pretty much useless. I found that the shredding discs do not fit greatly with the bowl and gave average results. Furthermore, I was creaming some butter and sugar when one of the whisks simply snapped off leaving the plastic base stuck in the mechanism. As other reviewers have commented it's not dishwasher safe which is a bit of a pain. It's also fidly, the jug comes apart for easier cleaning so you have the jug a seal & the base/blade unit & have to keep track of them as well as a 2 part lid . performance is ok for thinnish liquids like soup but it won't make a thick fruit puree as it needs quite a bit of liquid to work.

I got this sandwich toaster 8 months ago and I'm already looking to buy a new one! 1. Not very easy to wash (would be easier if plates came out), and even when you are carefull water get inside the unit. 2.The rubber feet have left marks over my kitchen surfaces 3. May be my love for chesse but chesse gets into the hinge. 4. Sometimes the lock gets a bit stuck and when you are trying to open it the stream comes out and burns you. Safe to say I'm looking to up grade my sandwich toaster. SVBlofeld
