This arrived today and I couldn't resist having a go at making some pasta straight away. It was gloriously user friendly, the only problem I had was with finding a suitable place to clamp the machine on in my kitchen as it requires a pretty thick table/counter overhang to attach to. My daughters loved turning the handle and handling the pasta, and took particular delight in watching the unusual shaped pasta shapes emerge from the gnocchi attachment (ingenious design, incredibly simple and effective). I can see that this will give us years of good service and family participation in meal preparation.

works well, giving light soft mash with no lumps. Came with 3 inserts but no instructions, so pot luck to use the right insert for the right food...still, gave me a lovely smooth mash. You need to have reasonably strong hands to use it, and the first time i tried I got quite a lot of mash all over myself and the worksurface, but on the whole, perfectly decent.

Used the Kitchen Kraft pasta machine twice and then one of the rollers distorted making it unusable for making pasta. Very disappointed. Expect something to last more than a couple of times.

The SP150 is brilliant, much better than my previous one. However, the instructions are very poor, particularly with this pack as you get no more information than in the standalone machine. This means you don't get told to grease the ravioli tray (oops - completely ruined) or not to thin the pasta sheets too much for the spagetti cutter - which I have yet to get to work properly. Might be better to stick to the simpler product, particularly for beginners.

Took delivery of my Heavy Duty Lever Arm Can Crusher in just 3 days. As for calling it "heavy duty"...I don't think so! Soon as I received it, my brother and I tried it on a empty can of peas by just holding the crusher bewteen us...nothing happened. I know it supposed to be screwed to the wall, but I wanted to make sure it worked BEFORE screwing it to the wall. I won't be screwing it to my wall now, as the only cans I buy are made of tin. The company should change their advertisement to, "it only crushes light aluminium cans", not cans made of tin".

I must admit I'm finding it really hard to master the technique of using this mandolin. For example if I cut a carrot across the width of the carrot, the slices are fine on the leading edge of the slice of carrot, but the other edge is paper thin, so I'm getting slanted slices and end up with an unusable shape of carrot left in the slider. It will effectively be a triangular shape and because one edge has made it to the stalks I can't keep cutting it. It seems as though I need to apply far too much pressure on the slider to get an even slice. Apart from that, it is a sturdy machine and easy to clean, I just rinse it under the tap.

Okay but if you are left handed I would suggest looking elsewhere, as the ignition button is placed in a way that makes it difficult to use this left-handed. It would have been so simple for the designer to have placed it either at the front or back so that it could have been used with either hand.
