Hi, I have been using the kitchenAid for some time, mainly baking. Last night I was making 1 kilo dough and after the second turn the bowl got stuck and we can't take it out, not even Samson seems able to. Does some of the customers have some wise advise on how to remove the bowl from its base? Many thanks

meaning you really can scrape the bowl thoroughly and in seconds. Not great for husbands who want to eat the remaining cake mix. The best spatula I own, I do actually love it! :)

Buy it. You won't regret it. Its beautiful. It's well made. It's VERY easy to clean because its design and manufacture are of highest standard. Its variable speeds are good for anything. Its attachments are great and it beckons you to make something. The red colour is gorgeous. I suspect whatever colour you choose will be equally as gorgeous though! Dont think twice ! Sorry for the few people who must have had rejects, not sure why just didnt ask for a replacement if sent a faulty one. For everyone else it seems if we could award more than 5 stars we would....Id give it 10 !!!

This blender is superb. It's build is very solid and you can tell the quality by the weight. Cleaning is easy as it all goes in the dishwasher. The whole family have enjoyed smoothies made with this since we bought it in January. As others have said, it is expensive, but you don't mind paying for a quality product!

A metal pin in the jug section engages a rubber pinion in the drive mechanism. Guess what happens over time when rubber meets metal? Yep. I really stretched mine by asking it make breadcrumbs. It's now useless as all the rubber teeth have sheared off with the effort. The kitchen aid was a present. It's now a present in a bin. I'm going back to my 30 year old Kenwood Chef which is a workhorse not a toy. Can't tell you how unimpressed I am with this product. It's very pretty but totally incapable of doing anything useful. It's the footballer's wife of blenders.

This is a good mixer and will last you a long time. It is more sturdy than the Classic version, which labours a bit on heavier mixtures, e.g. bread or large fruit cakes. If you want a really sturdy version for a lot of mixing, get the K5 model (only in white), also available from Catering suppliers. This is a prime example of how retailers and manufacturers selling a "must have" product hold the UK customers to ransom. The only way to stop this exploitation is to stop buying Kitchenaid products. This will force the cost down. Look at other items produced for both markets in different voltages and you will see a much smaller variation in price than on Kitchenaid products. Wow...my Dad has "taken the michael" out of me for spending this much money on a toaster that "doesn't even pop up", but I can honestly say this is the best toaster I have ever used. Aside from it's super sexy looks, it produces excellent toast (not just a pretty face!). The build quality is excellent, it is easy to clean and feels sturdy when you use it...the only downside - why don't Kitchen Aid make kettles?
