OK let's not get carried away as this is just a toaster, but you absolutely get what you pay for. The design of the toaster is no nonsense and the build quality is first class. Simply set the dial on the side to determine how brown you want the toast and turn the switch. There is a blue light to tell you that its cooking and a bleep to tell you its finished. Its a good looking toaster that makes great toast!

Yes, this machine is industrial. Very heavy cast iron which is the hallmark of Kitchenaid. The crema I get from this machine is good (given a good grind). My only complaint with this machine so far and it is a big one, is the limited steam you get from the steam pump. If you are just using the tiny jug supplied with this machine then it is fine. If you use a larger jug for say 4 people, the pump runs out of steam after about 60 seconds. You have to wait about 3 minutes then for it to build up pressure again. Not good. And the hot water feature is basically to be avoided. It has a proper wide group handle which is what you need for making good coffee and the fact the filter basket is held in by clips makes knocking out ... Read More:

Having never experienced a kitchen aid product before and seeing all the top chefs using them and my husband raving about how good they were I decided to give them a go. I was fed up with cheap plastic products breaking so was very pleased to see the body in heavy metal construction and the jar in heavy duty glass and not plastic. Having arthritis I didnt do alot of cooking as it was to painful for my hands, what a difference this has made to my life, my Husband cant keep me out of the kitchen and hes not complaining about all the lovely food iam cooking, this just makes everything a breeze. The only thing is but its not a problem I find if its quite full it sometimes leaks out of the top unless I hold onto the top while blending, ... Read More:

Huge cost for a toaster but I decided to splash out as I was sick of toasters packing up on me and having to replace them every year or so. Its certainly well built, solid, heavy and gorgeous to look at. Ignore negative comments about uneven cooking, it toasts as well as a good oven grill, evenly and consistently well. What don't I like? The cost. No need to be this expensive in my opinion. Its probably worth £70-£80, but you can't have one for that price ;-) If its an issue for you then you will be unhappy with forking out this much money. Also, it doesn't pop the toast up which is really odd at first, but this feature keeps the bread hot inside the toaster at the end of cooking.
