Magimix 4200 Food Processor, White Just received this morning and the silver security sticker was torn ....similar to another reviewer's experience. Informed Amazon and they reported it to the courier City link, after assuring me that the security tape was intact when it left Amazon. They gave me a £5 gift voucher for the inconvenience. It all seems to be intact..will try out machine later.

Having had 2 Kenwood chefs which ultimately broke, I finally decided not to waste any more money but find the extra to pay for a Magimix. My parents have had one for over 20 years and it is still going strong despite my Mother's best efforts. I have had my 3200 since September 2007 and have yet to fault it. Quiet, very steady and solid, attractive and extremely effective it cannot be beaten. I read lots of reviews before I finally did buy and it was clear that no other processors are as good. The 3200 meets all my needs as a family of four who entertain quite a lot. I have not seen how much bigger the 4200 or 5200 but this one is ample for most families I imagine.

If you want great coffee without any hassle or mess, this is a superb little machine. After 3 months of use, I'm delighted with my purchase and would thoroughly recommend it to others. It takes seconds to clean and the coffee tastes amazing, helped by the very well-designed Aeroccino. The wife's impressed with the results too, although she figured out long ago that it's quicker and easier to ask for a coffee than make it herself!

I bought this kettle from John Lewis, and returned it because the lid would not open. The replacement was also defective. It switched itself off within ten seconds. So I returned it. I wondered if John Lewis had received a bad batch so ordered a third time from Amazon. No surprise - the lid would not open! So I returned that one too. My determination to acquire this kettle has been thwarted. At least I can confidently disagree completely with the Which? website and with the other reviewers who recommended it. It's expensive, too. Magimix should stick to what they do best - food processors.

I bought this product as a replacement for a Kenwood which had broken. Cooking is my hobby, my favourite way of relaxing. I had noticed that most TV chefs use this brand and thought 'hey! if its good enough for Delia.....Ha ha!! I was definitely not disappointed. It does everything it says it will, the design is excellent. Most people have a food processor that they have had in a cupboard and hardly use. I believe this is because it is so fiddly, after scrambling around finding the attachments, trying to remember what goes where and then putting it together, it's usually easier to do things the old fashined way. It is supposed to adjust its' speed to suit the mixture - doesn't happen. It is big, bulky and heavy. The way the various bowls need to fit together to use them, you end up washing up about 10 bowls and bits every time your use it for the smallest task. The manual is not helpful in explaining how to use the attachments (just pictures). Don't buy this. It is a waste of money.

I have owned and used almost daily a Magimix for 28 years, eventually when the bowl handle broke and I needed to switch it on and off at the socket to operate I decided it was time for a new super model. I have found it difficult, there is just too much of it with the three bowls and storage box. I had hoped to use the middle bowl most, but that can't use the chopper or bread mixer. It is also quite heavy to move on the work top as I have to pull it out slightly to use it. On balance I wish I'd just bought a replacement bowl for my old one. Although in conclusion based on the older model (I will have to wait years to confirm this with the new one) there is no better and powerful tool around. I just hope I don't have the breakdowns other users have experienced.
