I purchased one of these last November from another Amazon seller and, at that time, I would agree that it seemed to strongly made and worked well. Unfortunately, the blades are chrome plated steel and the chrome disintegrates at the spindle end, which the most most stressed point (and almost impossible to completely dry after use). So, apart from including little bits of chrome plating in the ice, the spindle end of the blades are rusting, giving an 'interesting' colour tint to the ice! A great pity that the blades are not made Stainless steel, which would have prevented this problem.

I bought this and a Roomba, as I wondered if I was wasting the money on a Roomba, when I could buy this for a third of the price? This machine cleans your floor, but the Roomba picks up about six times as much dust and leaves the floor virtually spotless (barring the corners, where it can't reach). This machine certainly makes a difference to the floor, but it's not in the same league as the Roomba. It's certainly fun to watch though - Scooting around the room by magic (the scamp!). I'm a bit bothered by the batteries, after one month it only runs for thirty minutes, as opposed to the original sixty minutes. A word to the wise among you - Don't trust the stair sensors...
