I just installed the Staywell 300 and I have found some design flaws. 1) You tighten the flap frame around the hole in the door using only two screws. As a result it is not entirely snug to the door surface. 2) The east wind blows rain against my door and I can see that the design will allow water through to the inside. I tested this with fine spray from a garden hose. 3) The description "Transparent" for the flap is misleading. It is frosted except for a section about 4 X 14 cm. You cannot see clearly out of that section (cats like to look out before they leave) because of a large uneccessary "STAYWELL" logo. (it has logos over the other surfaces too). We had a standard catflap with no automation and it failed, badly. Two Tomcats used to regularly raid our cat's bowl and then, for good measure, would spray their scent all over the kitchen, hall and living room. They became very adept at doing it, and at avoiding our efforts to repel them. So we had to have some automation. I read all the reviews on Amazon and felt that none of them worked 100%. Having got this catflap and roadtested it I reckon it all comes down to your situation. It won't work if your cat likes to sit near the catflap. This will trigger the device and in will come Mr T.
