I have 2 dogs and have been so fed up with a mop and bucket - I spend my time changing the water as it gets so filthy and I don't think the floor is ever clean. Keeping the 2 labradors out of rooms I have cleaned & are still wet is always a nightmare. I saw this product on QVC but bought it on Amazon with an extra bottle of cleaning solution for less money. I love this machine! I read a review somewhere else that said it takes a long time, but I have not found that at all - it is quicker for me because as I said before I spent my time changing water. I bought this for several reasons, the main one being of course that my carpets desperately needed revitalizing. I had an old Vax that operated as a vacuum and carpet cleaner, but being the type you drag around like a dog on a lead, it drove me mad as apart from having to virtually rebuild it to use it, I had to haul around the cleaner plus miles of tubes and wires wherever I went. bought this a few days ago .found it seemed to clean ok but suddenly found the cleaning solution coming out without me pressing the switch.also it seems that some dirty water gets into motor and comes out underneath .has anyone else had this problem?

The Vax Rapide PowerJet Pro V-028M has to be the worst thing I have ever purchased. It works occasionally, but most of the time it just dumps water on the carpet and leaves it there. Our local engineer has looked at it 3 times and still it doesn't work properly. Stay away from this piece of junk. In fact, from what I have been told keep away from Vax full stop. I had to give it a star rating but really it should get no stars.

This cleaner is indeed heavy and you do have to travel slowly across the carpets but does an excellent job-which is clearly evident in the dirty water tank! I found this fairly easy to set up and the filling and emptying is a breeze compared to my old machine. Great results with the upholstery wand and loved the separate tank for the solution as this can stay in the machine between uses. Also no need to mix up a large tank of cleaning solution. I purchased this during a half price promotion and consider this cleaner fantastic value.

I wouldn't say my carpets look brand new, but they definately look clean...and with a puppy going in and out, into the wet muddy garden, they had muddy paw-prints caked on! This vax is also absolutely fantastic at picking up hair. I just wish i'd bought it when we first got the puppy. Can be bought for £119.99 from Comet.
