This product looks good - simple and streamlined, and does the job. However, as another reviewer has already mentioned, the glow it gives off is bright green - not even a hint of blue! When I first plugged it in it reminded me more of a spooky green haunted house type of light! Aside from the colour, the glow it gives off is not too bright and after a night of it being plugged in it does not get hot to the touch which is great. I would recommend this item as long as you are happy with the light being green rather than blue.

I all but gave up buying wine until someone bought me one of these. I became frustrated by tipping half a bottle of good red wine down the sink a day after opening it when it had gone off, or feeling that I had to finish the bottle, and so feel worse for drink the day after. This item has changed all that. I no longer have to think about the waste if I just want a glass or two from a bottle. Simply push in the rubber bung and use the pump to suck all the air out. The wine keeps well for at least a week like this, and so is the perfect gizmo, if like me, you are a one or two glass per night regular wine drinker. I was looking for a bigger slow cooker than the 2 litre one I already had. (My USA slow cooker book recommended a larger one so that you could cook for the freezer.) Well this one seemed twice the size - but it's still not what I'd call big. What I'd recommend you do is to fill a suacepan with water and measure what 3.5 litres actually looks like and whether you need an even bigger one. In this cooker 3.5 litres is nearly to the top of the bowl and some recipes can be a bit bulky until they have cooked a while. This one might be fine for a family of four or as one of a pair (you'll soon realise that two slow cookers is what you'll need for a dinner and a pudding or extra side dishes). I have had nothing but problems with the plate not revolving. Everytime something is placed on it, it dislodges the small turntable mechanism so everything has to be taken out and the mechanism pushed back into place firmly, which is also fiddly. It will then work, but when I go back to put something different in I have to do the same again if I want the plate to turn. I would not choose this model again.

Until now i'd been grinding beans with my multipurpose blender which could easily be disassembled and cleaned. With this grinder, there are no detachable parts. To clean the manual suggests you sweep out execess grind with a small brush (like what?) then wipe with a damp cloth. I just use a kitchen towell. Besides that, the product is excellent. Makes a beautiful, fine espresso grind for my new Bialetti. Bialetti Moka Express Espresso Maker, 6 Cup

Am really pleased with my purchase of this item. I use it most days - make porridge in the morning, cook grains like quinoa and millet to make salads for my packed lunch, steam veggies and the occasional ready meal in the steamer basket and have made some really lovely winter stews on the slow cook function. I've never managed to cook quinoa in a pan, but the rice cooker does it to perfection. Am really looking forward to experimenting further with it, and will try to make polenta using the porridge function tomorrow. if it was a bit cheaper, I'd buy another one (so that I can cook my stew and my grains/veggies at the same time). The downsides are small, but the non-stick surface of the pot is VERY delicate, mine has a scratch already and if the pot goes then ... Read More:
