This does work really well and I wouldn't boil an egg without it now. The colour changes to black (or dark red) gradually from the outside in as the egg cooks, and you just wait until the edge of darker colour reaches the "soft", "medium" or "hard" markings, however you like it. Perfect results every time. We have extremely hard water, but I always use filtered water and have never had a problem. However, a warning if you're colour blind: it might not be quite so useful. My husband is colour blind and he has trouble seeing where the colour has changed.

I got two boxes of these Kenwood filters to use with my Brita kettle, and although they fit into the filter slot they are noticeably slower than the Brita branded cartridges. If you compare the slots around the filter, the Brita ones have many more and will obviously let more water through in the same time. The Kenwood cartridges only have about 8 slots all the way round! Most filter jugs have sloped sides to keep the water level above the wider top openings for as long as possible, however my kettle has quite a flat pre-filter reservoir, so with only one or two cups worth of water it takes a while before you're ready to go (it's not always convenient to fill the kettle in advance) I'll be switching back ... I bought this from amazon this week arrived in 2 days free delivery and also got the grinder free, BARGAIN!!!!. Made latte first day and every day since and I am please with the results. Upside - easy to use - follow easy instructions Downside - you have to hold onto the cups or they shake and could fall off the machine - but as it is so cheap it doesnt take much to hold on to the cups for 30 seconds. I would reccomend this if you want to make your own fresh coffee drinks and cannot afford the more expensive machines as it makes perfect drinks

I bought this about 6 months ago and have found it to be quite good, until a few days ago, when I discovered that it could make the PERFECT froth. A lot of people recommend that you warm the milk for a while in the microwave and then froth. But to make this work so as to form milk that is as thick as beaten egg whites, do the following: 1: Use semi-skimmed milk straight from the fridge. 2: Beat the milk vigorously, making sure that you pump only in the bottom 2 inches of the milk (if you come out of the milk with each stroke, it doesn't work). 3: Keep pumping until it starts to get thick (if you are vigorous, this will take about 30 seconds). 4: Pop it into the microwave at full power (800 watts in my case) for 50 seconds. ... Looked smart & reliable, worked great, a lovely birthday present. My first ever coffee grinder and it gave me a taste for the real thing so the coffee must have been fine - but it broke down 3 months in! I didn't use it more than once or twice a week, it certainly wasn't overwork. Now have to buy another, so I guess it did some manufacturer some good by getting me hooked, but I'll never buy wahl again.

A very well made and lovely looking stand to display cupcakes - can be used for birthdays, christmas, valentines, weddings, christening ar any other special occasion. Brilliant value, for use over and over again. Can make even a simple homemade cupcake look highly professional. Makes a great alternative to the traditional birthday cake. We used it for my stepsons 13th birthday, with green and blue icing / smarties etc and he was thrilled ( and its not easy to impress a 13 year old boy!!!)
