What to say about this? It's a glass mug containing a removable plastic tea infuser used for straining loose-leaf tea rather than tea bags, and it's made by Bodum, a company known for its modern styling (and high prices). The infuser is simply a plastic sieve that can be used in any cup or mug, which is handy because I don't find the glass one you get here to be particularly conducive to a nice tea drinking experience. It's not that it's bad, it just looks and feels a bit 'seventies' - you know, like a prop from The Sweeney. Of course this might be your bag so don't let it put you off, I would have just preferred it if Bodum had supplied a nicer cup or maybe sold the infuser on its own. Bought this for my girlfriend as a birthday present. Very easy to use and set up, in fact we had our first cup of coffee five minutes after plugging the machine in. So far we have had no problems. I would highly recommend, a great machine at a reasonable price.

When I bought this item I was immediately impressed with build quality and design. I have been using it on a regular basis for a couple of weeks and my first impression has deteriated. The coffee it supplies is weak, even on the 1-3 cup "strong" setting. Please note I am using freshly ground coffee. The keep warm plate does keep it warm but the coffee is only warm from brew so to get a hot coffee you will have to stick it in the microwave to finish it off. I did try putting very warm water in but this made no difference. Summary: Good points: Easy to clean, paper filter Bad points: Warm weak coffee My advice, buy a more expensive model so to not fill the landfill....

This machine makes great coffee but its just really badly designed. I can almost guarantee that it will break inside 6 months, if you're lucky to get that far! I have had 8 of these, each replaced under warranty so I know exactly how bad they are. All 8 have failed within 6 months, each one of them cleaned every time they are used. The main problem is that you cant clean it properly, its just not designed to be taken apart and cleaned. The internal parts that jam are flimsy plastic hence the reason they break when the coffee jams it. Save your money and buy something else. CM8, CM10.....all the same. They all break.
