I read the other review and wanted to say, I've had the set in red for around a year. They are well used and the lettering is still intact. They look great and the seal is still sealing well. I've had no problems at all. Just wanted to balance the other review, as my own experience is not the same.

I've had this machine for a week now and I'm very pleased. I must admit I sourced it from another store where I had some gift vouchers. I couldn't find any user reviews of the machine so I was keen to help anyone considering this machine. I'd give it a 9 out of 10 but that's not an option so I've gone for 5 stars. I use it with a Krups Coffee mill and to me, the coffee (appearance, crema, aroma and taste) is excellent. I shopped around for a while and I'd compared this to the Gaggia machines. The Gaggia machines costing less than GBP200 seemed to not be as robust as this. I bought this to replace an electric espresso maker I used at home. I have mastered how much to tamp the coffee down depending on how finely it is ground. The coffee temperature is an improvement on my electric machine. Taste is not impaired as long as you do not use too strong a flame as this will cause the coffee to boil in the uppermost compartment. For home use, this is very useful and fills the house with a beautiful smell of coffee. It is easy to clean and sturdier than I expected. I have not used any similar machine to this one. Five stars reflects the price and overall ease of use once mastered.

Quick, easy, clean, and also quiet. I can come in from a run in the morning and make coffee faster and quieter than boiling a kettle while I am making toast, and there is no cleaning up. The kids can have hot chocolate striaght after. The other thing about it is there is no pouring, so I'm happy for my 8 year old to make himself a hot drink. You'd never let a kid near a kettle or heat a pan of hot milk on the hob. Now if I could just get a machine to walk the dog...

Really happy with this - I suspect it might be subtly different to the other reviewer's model. Cap fits snugly, no issues with coffee being dumped and I have a metal filter. The real attraction for myself is the fact that it will bounce rather than smash if dropped! It looks good too, and is well made.
