I wanted a fryer and put this on my wedding list as it looked nice in the catalogue. What a dissapointment! When cooking, the outside gets REALLY hot. There is no filter and you have to cook with the lid off so the kitchen gets really smelly.It takes ages to cool and it is heavy and difficult to get the oil out for cleaning. Although it completely dismantles for cleaning it does not go in a dishwasher and because its steel always looks smeared on outside even after cleaning. Would not recommend.

I agree with Tyke. This is one for the extreme fryers - a scary contraption. Steam seeps out the sides (cool wall seems non-existent), you can't see through the window and so have to open up the fryer, but when you do, all the condensation from inside the lid drips straight into the hot oil, which crackles and pops alarmingly, spitting out at you. I haven't been hurt yet, but I'm jacking this one in before I am. Let this warn you. I've had enough of this one and am now looking for a replacement.
