There have been some mixed reviews over the efficiency of the actual thickness of this item. For the record, I have to be persuaded to review a product I wouldn`t usually select for my own kitchen, preferring to opt out rather than give a lesser review than the item may deserve. After all, choosing and using kitchen linen comes down to personal preference, how big your casserole dishes are, and......maybe.......habit? Having now tested `this gauntlet' it did do the job. The 14"/36 cm length protects the wrist area, too. But...... I have to admit that I still prefer Le Creuset's `Iron Handle Glove` for lifting hot handles from the hob and Le Creuset's `Double Oven Glove' for lifting seriously hot, largish ... Read More:
