Bought this carpet cleaner a few months ago and, as far as the machine itself is concerned, I am fairly pleased with the purchase. No, it is not a miracle worker and if you are faced with rather grubby carpets (moving into a new home, for example), be prepared to shell out quite a lot on shampoo as on deep-clean setting the stuff fairly runs through the machine - forget about the assurances of the sales staff that the 3 bottle pack will be more than enough for a whole house. Also, the edge-to-edge cleaning is a myth; it simply doesn't do it, so you are left with a strip of uncleaned carpet along the walls. I had the Black and Decker 9 v dustbuster for 3 years, using it every day and found it excellent, when it died I decided to buy the 12v for the extra power. I am delighted with this dustbuster it has all the features my old one had and one or two extras (2 speeds and a pull out nozzle). It is easy to use and easy to empty. It does need the filter cleaning, by just taking it off and knocking out the dust every so often, but that is simple to do. I would recommend this dustbuster to anyone who wants a quick cleanup for crumbs etc. or for cleaning the car.

Living in London again I was reminded of the dirty air, stinging eyes and sore nose but the last straw came when I went to clean my window sill and found it thick with London soot from the nearby Tube and car exhaust pollutant and other nasty particulates. Bought this model and it arrived today, looks good!.. plugged it in and within minutes I absolutely noticed my eyes stopped stinging and my nose wasnt sore.. switched it off later only to find my eyes started stinging again and I started to sneeze half an hour later!! I think I will have this thing on permenantly.. Go for it, you wont be sorry

ON THE PLUS SIDE 1) I agree with the other reviewers that the cleaner cleans car upholstery thoroughly but it is not surprising that the water is filthy as most car seats get that way after a year or so and any reasonable wet cleaner will extract lots of muck. 2) I do like the excellent suction which gets most of the water out of the upholstery so that it air dries fairly quickly. ON THE MINUS SIDE 1)The cleaning solution squirts in a fan shape on to the brush on the cleaning tool but unfortunately the jet is wider than the brush so that at the edge of seats the solution sprays where you don't want it. As stated by the other reviewer, the description and picture (and earlier feedback) indicates this is a genuine filter. It is NOT! I complained and was told the description stated this. I have looked again and it is not clear. I believe this item sails very close to the trades description act and should be changed or removed. Please do NOT buy it in protest.

This cute little heater is absolutely ideal if you want to keep your nursery warm during the cold winter nights when the heating's off. With the variable, thermostatic control, I can rest easy that the room won't get too hot, and as it's only 500W it won't make my electricity bills astronomical. Very highly recommended.
