I just have to say how useful these additional tools are. The extending hose with the soft brush is ideal for those hard to reach places, and is great for the sides of stairs and skirting etc. For this combination alone the kit is worth buying. The other attachments are useful, but they do duplicate to a certain extent the tools that came with the machine. If you could have just bought the soft brush and the hose then this would be getting 5 stars. But its just a bit expensive when you are duplicating on some tools, but at least I have a spare brush for when one wears out, or more likely I loose it.

Quick heat up time, 2 minutes. Easy to refill without having to turn off. You just pull the tank out. Irons like a dream, I now sail through my husbands shirts and trousers. However I did send my first one back because it leaked but the replacement has been fine. Highly recommended. Excellent value for money

We bought this iron as a replacement for our "Which? Best Buy" Tefal steam generator. That lasted just a couple of years before its cord covering frayed badly, a fault we put up with for a further two years. At £50.00 to repair we thought it wasn't worthwhile even though it had been an excellent iron in other ways. Yet, as good as the Tefal was, this Philips surpasses it in every detail but one - the Tefal had a better cord storage system that worked well (a small detail). The Philips is light (so much lighter than a standard steam iron), it's powerful (much better than the excellent Tefal even) and it's very compact for such a powerful device. Borrowed this from a friend after the cat took to weeing on the carpet. It has done a good job on cleaning up the mess, and the smell. It does seem to use very little cleaning fluid, even after I managed to connect it properly. However, no matter what I did, it seemed to constantly leak (mainly from the clean water tank but hard to tell) so if I left the machine sat anywhere for long there were big wet patches. Having used it, I'm very tempted to buy my own cleaner as it's done a surprisingly good job and is cheaper than expected, but I might shop around for one that is less dribbly.

Obviously if you have a Dyson cleaner then you know that the filters are of a good quality, easy to fit etc. What I particularly like about these is that you can wash them - so although you still change them on a regular basis these two filters will last you for 12 months+ which beats having to throw away a perfectly good filter just because it's a bit dirty!

This is a strange one. What I mean is, that it did it's job as described but..... Funny thing is, it appeared to "leak" as around it's base after a couple days was a little "water" with the container itself approximately a fifth full. I thought that maybe it had a tiny crack in the plastic body, but after close and detailed examination none could be found so ended up seating it on a folded kitchen towel/tissue. If you have a few quid, I would rather suggest "Rechargeable Dehumidifier: Twin Pack" from the Garden & Outdoors section here on Amazon for under £20 than this for £5. Summary: it does work, but place it with some care regarding what is immediately next to it.
