I'm far more excited about my new vacuum cleaner than must be healthy. My carpets have never been so clean, it's compact and quiet. After buying an Electrolux that was always a bit rubbish and died after a year, I'm delighted with this one.

I have had other dustbusters but this one beats all. I suffer from arthritis and this little vac just skims across the floor with the aid of two little wheels, I have no problem using it, in fact I rarely ever use my big vac now as this one seems to go on forever without charge. It has a run time of about 20 or so minutes time to do the job no problem. I would recommend this little vac above all others. I give it five, well worth the money.

very light,picks up very well.picks up more pet hair than my dyson...yes honestly.long battery life from mains recharge.mine has a normal length handle,check as i think picture is misleading.people may laugh at my little vac,but its better than my dyson.empty the small tray each time you use it.keep horizontal during use.10/10 no i dont work for them !!!

I purchased the Vax V-026 Rapide Deluxe Carpet Washer in Sept 2007. In June 2008 I used it for the first time to clean liv/din room carpet.The carpet is a very light fawn it had no marks on it and i only cleaned it to freshen it up. The result was very good and I was well pleased The second time it was used to remove a spillage, the filter fell to pieces so I had to buy a new pack, I fitted the new filter and after 20 minuets the motor blew up leaving a black dust deposit on the carpet. It has now been with VAX appointed local service agent for five weeks and still no sign of a new motor from Vax. It is true this tool has limitations, what tool doesn't. But this is a great little addition to my dyson animal. I first used it under a dresser without the brush but extended so it could bend around the corners and it was really effective and quick. I use it unextended with the brush all along the carpet edges where they meet the skirting board. Again brilliant results especially as I used to periodically clean the area with a rubber glove! I do agree that the connection with the dyson tube is poor and I actually am using a different connector to the one recommended . I've usually only sold these, working in a shop that sells them, and I'd heard and read about how they work and how good they are. I finally bought one, and I am rather impressed. If you use it every day, the results are impressive. It will struggle to make your carpet immaculate if you're using it for the first time, as it is designed to be used every day, thus preventing dirt from penetrating deep into your carpet. Non-carpeted floors are where you'll see the best results from the Roomba, even from the first go. However, I have a big thick rug in my lounge (and it is very thick, like shagpile or something... i don't know) and it often struggles to get onto that because of the corner brush.
