I was in two minds about buying this given the differing reviews. However I'm very pleased with the machine, and at the price it is an excellent buy. I was worried that the coffee maker would not look good, but it looks very nice and certainly feels solid. The coffee is excellent, and seems warmer than our previous model. The great boon is of course the built in clock with the ability to program the machine to make coffee for you first thing in the morning.

Nice looking. However, looks are not everything. These scales go up in 2g so to obtain 15g you have to put sufficient on the scale to have it flashing between 14 & 16g. The real disapointment is that the scales are not consistant, I weighed the same item several times and found the readout different. I'm looking for another set to replace these.

I've had mine for a couple of years, used twice or more a day (at work). Looks ugly, but beauty comes from within. So much quicker / easier / quicker to clean up than a mini-cafetiere (French Press). And keeps it hot for 30 mins for the slow drinkers like me. The seal's not gone wrong on mine, as previous review, but the official web site says that you can't buy a replacement after the 1-year guarantee. However, for a fiver, it's a bargain. I think they do a tall, thin one for cars, too, but have not tried this. This mug has travelled the UK on weekend breaks, and to Europe when it needs a longer holiday. I've only had this machine for a couple of weeks, but it is really worth it! I bought it because of the good customer reviews it had and my advice is to rely upon these recommendations. It is quick, easy to use and clean and it really does keep the coffee hot! An absolute steal for just over £20 and I would absolutely recommend it!!
