I started to steam vegetables when we had a baby. After 3 plastic steamers, I looked for something more sturdy. This steamer works perfectly. It is tough and easy to clean. By following the timings recommended in the handbook, vegetables are steamed to exactly the right degree. I have also found that I can use it to steam rice, by placing the rice and water within a ceramic dish inside the steamer, with the required water (using a smaller quantity than normal). The rice becomes sticky.

This griddle is brilliant. I enjoy using it several times a week. What I have discovered since owning it is: Is is not necessary to season it, (written in Le Creuset's care guide) as the special interior enamel coating does not require it. The best way I have found to clean it is; let it cool whilst you eat your meal,then add a dash of washing up liquid and fill with hot water. Leave it to soak, 30 minutes, then using a normal dish cloth (not a scrubby one) see it the residue comes away easily. l love this l have made skinless sauseges which were lovely it minces very well and very quick, pity it did not come with every thing that is on the list. biscuit maker kibab maker what happened to them? these were advertized and should be part and parcel. otherwize no problems.

I ordered two of these for two elderly ladies I know who have arthritic fingers. One of the openers didn't work at all, while the other performed badly (sometimes it would open a can only partially).

I have been using this for over a year up to 5 times per day, and have never had a problem with it. It is quite a large juicer, but the size and weight make it very sturdy for juicing;it doesn't jump about the worktop like some juicers do! Takes whole fruit without a problem, carrots and even raw beetroot not a problem for it. The juice is very clear, no "bits" in it and it gets all the juice out of everything you can throw at it! Easy to clean, throw it in the dishwasher, or rinses quickly under a tap. The only downside is that the spout is quite low, so need to use a low jug to "catch" the juice.It doesn't come with a receptacle for collecting the juice. Excellent value from a good brand.
