I received this free as part of a newspaper promotion so it was no loss to me to give it away to a charity shop when it did not suit my purposes. The lid contains a digital timer to tell you when to change the filter but this did not work. The whole jug was an odd shape and it simply didn't fit in the door of my fridge.

Yes it's not particularly high tech nor will it win any design awards and the build quality is not up to ipod standards but, and this is important! it wakes you up with a freshly made pot (HOT) of tea for 2. OK, the rocker switches are a little dated, the clock is a little "agricultural" for my liking and it's only a slightly less than 12 hour timer (how long do you sleep for anyway?) but it's a teasmade - it makes tea. I suppose they could have added a digital clock, WiFi, internet radio, D.A.B., bluetooth and god knows what else but it wouldn't make it do the job any better. As for a kettle and timer, good luck with that, it's certainly cheaper but somewhat less convienient (or safe for that matter) and then you have still got to pour the water ... Read More:

Knowing James Martins love of machines(cars)I imagined he would not put his name to anything mechanical if he was not happy with it and so it seems tbe with this little beauty. I have used this grinder for about six months now and have no complaints. Design and build are great and is simple to use,you just keep your finger on the button if you want a stronger brew. Recommended. Standard delivery from amazon took just two days.

I purchased 3 of these for my daughter and neices, all were absolutely fine & certainly no leaks! They're a great size for lunch bags & the matching lunch bag has a veclro strap in it to hold the bottles upright anyway. I much prefer these to the plastic bottles as the plastic ones tend to get chewed and don't hold as much drink in as the aluminium ones. Plus these are a nig hit for bike rides as they fit perfectly in the drinks holders.

this was so quick to construct! it is a real bargain and is just what i needed for the attic room as we cannot get a wardrobe up the stairs.i have hung those rails you get for radiators from the halfway bars to create even more storage space for ties etc. PLUS i can move it around on the castors to clean under it!

I purchased this steamer to replace my old one because after reading the reviews it seemed like a safe buy. Maybe I have been unlucky but after less than 3 months I have had two major issues with it. The first was that I left water in the bottom with the element after using it and it turned mouldy... this never happened with my first steamer. Anyway after disinfecting it the smell finally went away and I used it again. Now the element has got burnt and everytime I clean it it just burns again on the next use which makes all the food taste like burnt element (UGH!) So I have given up and thrown it away replacing it with an old fashioned three tiered stainless steel steamer from M&S for £9.50 wish I had done that in the first place.

I spent a lot of time researcing thermos's and was willing to pay up to £20 to get the right Thermos. I wanted something that my 5 year old could take to school with some hot food in for lunch. This seamed ideal. Made for children, wide mouth, not going to burn them, and small size. What a disapointment. It won't keep anything hot for longer than an hour! I suspect it may keep soup hot or possible a stew if it has enough liquid in it but nothink else. I tried potatoes, sausages, meatballs. Basically this food flask 'might' work if you fill it to the brim and the food contains a large amount of liquid - but for anything else, don't waste your money

There's a saying that goes: "Build a better mousetrap, and the world will beat a path to your door." Well guess what? Nowadays we're a lot more likely to encounter a corked bottle of pinot than a mouse, and as far as I'm concerned, it makes no sense that any other type of corkscrew still exists! This set comes with a foil cutter (not really needed) and a flashy box (also not really needed), and most importantly a nice and chunky lever-arm corkscrew that takes the cork out of the bottle smoothly every time. It even includes an extra screw should you ever need to change the one that it comes with.
