Every review for this product tells you it's big, but not HOW big, search on-line and somewhere you might actually find the dimensions, but when you're listening to the people on this site you'll be thinking, maybe they're exaggerating....THEY'RE NOT. You might even be thinking, 'How big could it be?', it's BIG. But even if you do know the dimensions it's not a simple case of ensuring you have enough space to contain the grill, when you have the grill closed, the handle overhangs the bottom of the grill by 12cm, and when you open it, the lid overhangs the back by an extra 4cm, so if you don't want the handle poking out over the edge of any worksurfaces and you want the lid to open onobstructed you'll need more space. Difficult to imagine how inefficient my other vacuum cleaners were until I powered up this "beast"! The upright and the "wand" (the cylinder-like hose attachment) both removed quite dramatic amounts of dirt, dust, fluff and detritus from what I had imagined was a clean carpet. I'm sitting staring in disbelief at the amount of stuff in the bagless dirt/rubbish container. I recommend this machine.

The difference is in the design with this Dyson. You just have to see the detail. It's vastly superior to any other handheld. In fact, from Dyson's own website, I can buy any part, and make a whole new machine myself and without having to pay for costly repairs. What do you do with your old handheld when it breaks - throw it away and buy another one? Well done Mr. Dyson. It's a top product. If you want a good price, like I did, then price watch a few places and wait for offers and deals to come by. It says that I am the first person to review this product, so here goes. I bought this slow cooker because this is the black version of model 48710 3.5L in stainless steel, which has received rave 5 star reviews. I can compare both models with each other, as I have owned and cooked in both. I first bought the 48710 in stainless steel for my elderly mother, and it certainly lived up to expectations. When it came to replacing mine, I found this black version, which I must say looks very contemporary, and would suit a lot of people's kitchens. Makes reasonably good espresso. There are two small problems. 1) As mentioned by other reviewers, the expresso water tank suffers from a serious design fault. If you take it out to refill it then, because of a fault with the valve at the bottom, a significant amount of water leaks out of the bottom of the machine onto the work surface. Contrary to what's been reported by another reviewer, this is NOT solved by ensuring that the tank is replaced 'properly'. Once it's in place the water stops leaking. Therefore a solution to the problem is to fill it in-situ using a jug. Not really a show stopper. 2) The plastic gasket that makes a seal between the expresso filter holder and the filter itself, is likely to need replacing ... Read More:

I bought this a few weeks ago when it was reduced to £179.99, as an upgrade from having a Kenwood Chef Classic. The kenwood chef was ok at mixing and kneading but this maching is amazing. So far since I have got this machine I have made: 100 cupcakes 2 10" xmas cakes 2 8" xmas cakes 2 6" xmas cakes 3 birthday cakes Pizza Bases Beef Burgers mountains of buttercream scones The mixer handles everything i throw at it with no problems. a 10" xmas cake is a lot of mix, 500g sugar, 500g butter, 9 eggs, 2 KG of fruit, 500g flour. I've given this five stars because it is a fantastic bit of kit and they give you a hell of a lot of accessories to go with it. It's gone up £19 since I bought it. But it is a good buy if you will use all the accessories that come with it. I've only made a carrot cake so only the basic items are needed - you have to ask yourselves if you really need all the extras or is a £40 version adequate. No problems at all with Kenwood I've got pretty much all I need. The graters are good and I mght try the chipper to go with my new Deep Fat Fryer. Oven chips stink!
