I've been using slow cookers for about 25 years. I got the 48715 last Christmas (2007) and it's been serving this family of four at least once a week since. Like any other kitchen appliance, some common sense in its use will avoid any of the negatives I've read here. A slow cooker is not a 'set-it-and-forget-it' device, and they're not marketed as such. Admittedly the 48715 runs hotter than one might expect, but that's true of most modern slow cookers. In fact the one niggle I have with it is the number of times I've inadvertently touched the hot metal base, but that's me being clumsy. I received this yesterday & have already made (& eaten) 3 1lb loaves. I've found this model very easy to use, I chose this one as it was a 'Which best buy' & compact. Any advice on the paddle? The manual states that it may occassionaly get stuck...I've got a 100% record of digging it out of the bread so far....

It has been in almost daily use in my kitchen since the moment it arrived, about six months ago, so I thought I would add a review based on my experience. It is small - very small, so doesn't take up nearly as much space on the kitchen counter as having a food processor sitting there. I bought mine at the beginning of the year, and I love it. I agree that having to scrape some mix off the sides into the path of the beaters has been a bit irritating (hence only 4 stars), but now I know that it can be adjusted, I'll give it a go. I disagree that stuff is blended, rather than mixed - I find it mixes very thoroughly, and batters etc are as light as air.

I cannot fault HENRY, infact I am on my second one. The first one lasted me 26 years and it had fallen down the stairs on several occasions, without a mark on it and still smiling!

I bought this machine for looks and the drop down paddle ( had a breadmaster that made wonderful bread but was getting a new kitchen and so I wanted all my gadgets in stainless steel ( put my breadmaster in the loft n kissed it apologetically). The MR breadmaker boasted a drop down paddle( which never really worked ) 16mths later ( still under guarantee) it stopped kneading and all the recipes I,ve used before were disasters tried once more and it refused to work at all, discovered that tho still under guarantee it would cost me a £15.00 to send back to Morphy Richards and then the guarantee would be from first purchase. So I consigned the rubbish guarantee and their rubbish bread maker to the local tip and got my breadmaster back down from the loft and cleaned it and made a gorgeous ... Read More:

After doing a bit of research and checking out what other people had said about this breadmaker I brought one. When I attempted to make my first loaf I was convinced it was going to be a disaster. How wrong was I! It was a complete success! The smell of homemade bread while baking is lovely and the taste is so much better than shop-brought bread. It is so simple to make loaves, rolls or hot cross buns. Even my daughter who has just set up her own home has asked for one for Christmas and she's not an avid cook, she just loves the taste of the bread!

I absolutely love the kenwood wizzard, I bought it about 4 months ago after breaking my old braun one (it fell out of the top cupboard & shattered on the floor!) I use the wizzard daily to make home-made baby food, I have been using the blender section for smooth purees and have now progressed onto the chopper attachment to introduce texture to the baby food. I cant comment on the whisk element as not had cause to use this yet. Would definately reccommend to anyone.

After reading several reviews sites I decided to take the plunge. My old vacuum had just about had it. The Vax Mach 7 arrived within two days. Assembly is only two screws for the handle. I was using it within minutes. I found the noise level quite acceptable and the tools were adequate. Yes as others have said it's on the heavy-ish side, but I think that it gives it a reassuring feel of a solid well build machine. I was dismayed at the sheer amount of muck that started flying into the vacuum. Just goes to show you never know what's lucking on the floor. The only thing I would say is that there is too much suction when using the tools. The pipe tends to shrink because of the suction so you have to fight it out again. This iron has the features I wanted and some I didn't know I wanted. My last iron was heavy and I liked it, not having to press down. The bottom of this one is coated to make it glide easily which was not true with earlier irons. The turbo steam is really fierce which I think is a good thing. The ultracord seemed like a gimmick, but isn't - the cord doesn't bang my wrist and if I didn't like it, I wouldn't have to use it. The iron heats quickly, the cord is extra long, it's easy to fill and the base is very steady. I can't fault it.
