This really does make very nice toasted sandwiches. I have been using mine for a few years now and the only gripe is that you waste a lot of bread - but that keeps the birds happy, I suppose.

You have to put a piece of bread in each side and press it to fit, then you have lots of space to insert the ingredients of your choice. The two sides then close together, chopping the bread into a circular shape (hence the waste).

The handle stays cool but, as another reviewer said, you do have to be careful not to touch the sandwich end as that stays hot for a while.

The finished sandwich slides easily out once it has been toasted and always looks good. I have tried a few sandwich makers over time but this is the ... Read More:

I was looking for a simple, no frills kettle to replace our very old one. Having read some of the previous reviews, I decided that this one was way better than others - quick, "nicely balanced", "easy to fill".
Although I am still happy with it - it boils water, after all - I must say that I do not agree with some of the reviewers. My wrists might be wrong shape, but I do not find the kettle nicely balanced at all - it's awkward and heavy. It is not particularly easy to fill through the spout and the lid is stiff on my kettle. It is noisy and not very quick. Otherwise a nice, neat-looking kettle. We have had it for over a year and it's still working.

This is an excellent little heater. It was reccommended by a friend, and hasn't disappointed. It heats the room very quickly and keeps it at a nice even temperature, without appearing to be on the go all the time. As it's been mild-ish, we've not had to use the second heat setting yet, or even put it any higher than 3 out of 6 on the 1KW setting, so there's plenty more heat available for the chilly weather.

We were going to get 2 heaters (our conservatory's four and a half by three and a half metres sq), but decided on 1 first, just in case it wasn't as good as we hoped it'd be, but are very glad we stuck to just one - it's going to be plenty powerful enough.

Also nice & light and easy to move - what more could ... Read More:

I was wishing for the family to eat more vegetables and thought a helpful way would be through homemade soups. I chose this product because it had a 'clean' unfussy look to it. I liked the idea of the stainless steel piece. When I took it out of it's box it seemed bigger than I thought it would be, and little on the heavy side. It comes with a clear plastic beaker which also has a rubber lid which can be used as a non slip base by putting on the bottom of the beaker when blending in the beaker. It just stores standing in this beaker when you've finished. It works brilliantly it is effecient and powerful. It does have cord attached to it but I don't find that a problem. Just make sure that it is fully imersed in bottom of soup pan before ... Read More:

Hello, this is a nice kettle, simple and looks good. Not come across the scalding issue myself, but after three years also, our kettle is leaking too. Not a great lifespan, so I have to buy another type/design.

I was also a little wary of some of the feedback on this kettle, but it may be the newer version that solves some of the niggles previously mentioned.
I love the design, primarily that it is easy to fill (touch button lid that springs open slowly), filter (ideal for hard water areas), non-drip pouring, clear fill level indicator and the speed of boiling.
The only downsides are that it does seem a little heavier than other kettles when empty and the somewhat higher price!
Overall, I feel that the ease of use, looks and style justify the price.

Having had 2 Kenwood chefs which ultimately broke, I finally decided not to waste any more money but find the extra to pay for a Magimix. My parents have had one for over 20 years and it is still going strong despite my Mother's best efforts. I have had my 3200 since September 2007 and have yet to fault it. Quiet, very steady and solid, attractive and extremely effective it cannot be beaten. I read lots of reviews before I finally did buy and it was clear that no other processors are as good. The 3200 meets all my needs as a family of four who entertain quite a lot. I have not seen how much bigger the 4200 or 5200 but this one is ample for most families I imagine.
