I bought this Dyson about 2 years ago. I had not owned a Dyson before, but after borrowing my daughters DC01, decided to replace my 'regular' vacuum cleaner with this model ( we have brick, tiled and wooden floors as well as carpet ). Yes, it's a bit noisy, but it cleans SO well and is SO easy to use that I forgot about it almost immediately! After 35 years of vacuums that don't shift cat hairs, sewing threads or fluff and only remove dust and dirt from the very top of the carpet pile, the Dyson's powerful suction was a revelation. I still get real pleasure from using it.

Well for £10 this is now an absolute bargain, in fact have bought 2 more for gifts. I have had no problem with it not slicing anything, maybe because I poke everything down with the tool included. It has tackled everything well, and makes a fantastic salad in minutes that looks quite impressive, and as the other poster said, is really easy to clean.

I've used the torch for about a year and it's proved excellent - a bright light, not heavy, easy on batteries, and handily pocket-sized. However, despite its tough appearance and feel, today it rolled off my desk, dropped onto a soft carpet, and now refuses to work. I would have expected it to have survived such a fall easily but it seems that it's not so much a toughguy as a bit of a wimp!

It's a mixing bowl and it works pretty much as it's meant to. Since it hasn't any complicated moving parts, I'm confident it will continue to do so for years to come. The reason for the relatively low score is because of something that I should have considered before buying, and hope that you will after you've read this. The bowl is a good medium-large sized mixing bowl, it is an ideal size for mixing up a sponge cake or something similar (4L is about 7 pints) but I wouldn't recommend it. Imagine using an electric whisk or even just a metal balloon whisk against a stainless steel bowl (fingernails down the blackboard isn't in it - please believe me!) so for mixing things using a wooden or a plastic/silicone utensil it is an excellent ...
