I am a huge fan of food processors and this Kenwood did nothing to diminish my enjoyment of them. It makes life so much easier, doing chopping, slicing, whipping, juicing, etc, within seconds. It's quite compact too so it doesn't take up too much counter space. It's only downfall is a basic design flaw. When you remove the processor from the base to take out the food inside, first of all it requires pressure to get it out - something not easy esp since its all so delicate. Secondly when you remove the bowl, the plastic beam in the center which rotates the blade stays in - and usually falls out (which means you can break it easily if you drop it one too many times). Its been some years since ive used a Henry and my first impression was of the fine quality of materials used really built to last the many years of dependable use he will provide. Everything right down to the rugged casters that he runs on feels very well put together specifically designed for commercial use in Hotels and other areas that require regular cleaning.I particularly like the fitments used on the extension segments,designed so that they can be used time and time again without any worry of pieces breaking. I was sucked in by this being called a 'Smoothie' maker when in fact it's just an inefficient blender. The blades are not at all sharp, so they don't blend my frozen berries well and oranges are just too much for it. The motor is not supposed to run for longer than 60 seconds, which isn't long enough to blend all fruits, and even so it always smells slightly as if it's burning. It won't blend fruit unless quite a lot of liquid is added to it. None of the parts are suitable to be washed in the dishwasher. The tap is just a gimmick, and even if you leave the motor running it often gets blocked. It is also extremely noisy! I bought this for two reasons, one, the old fashioned method took too much effort, and two because of the reviews it was given. They were all right, it does exactly what it says on the tin with no fuss at all. Easy to clean and quick to do the job. Even my husband (the chef in the house) who grumbled at first that it would take longer to clean than use, is impressed. I wish I had bought one years ago.

Purchased for £119.98 from another retailer. Took 15 minutes to unpack and assemble. Very straightforward, with easy instructions. The Mach 6 replaced an orange Vax 6131 bag cleaner. I vacumed the house immediately, and to my astonishment was faced with a cylinder full of dirt and dust. I live alone, and had only vacumed 5 days previously, so the carpets certainly weren't dirty. However, the power and suction of the Mach 6 was able to suck up all the ground-in dirt from the carpets. So I was very impressed by the dirt collection and no loss of suction. Got this for a christmas present. Did a before and after taste test and the difference is quite surprising. Definitely using it on every bottle from now on. Only problem I've found is it claims to auto power off but doesn't. I have to take batteries out to stop it!

I've used this Tower pressure cooker for 10 years and have used two other brands and prefer this one for its simplicity and good value. Also being made from aluminium makes it lighter so easier to handle during washing than the ones made from steel. My experience is that cooking food under pressure (i.e. higher temperature) not only shortens cooking times but also changes the flavour for the better. I won't be buying a replacement as the one I have still works perfectly. My suggestion is to take care not to damage the removeable rubber gasket in the lid and to follow the instructions that recommend smearing the gasket with cooking oil after washing.
