Didn't toast evenly. Has broken down only after 16 months - 4 months after the expiry date of the guarantee. Considering the price, it should have lasted a bit longer, surely?

I bought this Thermos food Jar for my son to take to school. I am very impressed with it as i prepare the soup at 7.30am and it is still very hot by his lunch time at school 12.30. I read the instructions before use which do tell you to heat the product with hot water before use for hot food, or cold water before putting in the cold food. This seems to work very well. Over all it was well worth the money!

This is a clever product and I bought 4 of them. As other reviewers stated, they do let the rain in and the seed gets wet BUT the worst thing is that a determined squirrel (is there any other kind?) can grab hold of the bird perch and let the steel cover slide up again. I abandoned them all.

I bought one of these toasters locally as they where reduced to half price, my old toaster was needing retiring as it was burning even on the lowest settings, The Kenwood was the best toaster I could buy for my money. First couple of days with there being a few buttons on the front I could not get my toast to brown,, then I realised, those buttons,, one was for defrosting, the other was for reheat, the key to getting perfect toast from your Kenwood is just put the dial to the setting you want and then simply press down the black button(s) for 2 or 4 slices if required. I am simply overjoyed with this excellent utensil and it has made peeling anything, never mind potatoes, a breeze! I know it's pretty sad to get all worked up over a peeler (!) but Oxo really have done the business here and even awkward roots like ginger become much easier to deal with. A great tool for anyone who enjoys cooking and I guarantee you will actually try and find things to peel, when you've run out of spuds :D

Normally I tend to confine my reviews to items of the literary kind, but as I can't really be bothered with another book review at the moment (and because I bought this grill from Amazon recently) I thought I'd turn my critical eye on the Big George. This is my first real experience with health grills, and overall I'd have to say I'm quite impressed. The grilling area heats up quickly and is big enough to fit plenty of burgers on, making it a handy backup if you've invited all your friends over for a BBQ but the weather isn't cooperating. I purchased this steamer to replace my old one because after reading the reviews it seemed like a safe buy. Maybe I have been unlucky but after less than 3 months I have had two major issues with it. The first was that I left water in the bottom with the element after using it and it turned mouldy... this never happened with my first steamer. Anyway after disinfecting it the smell finally went away and I used it again. Now the element has got burnt and everytime I clean it it just burns again on the next use which makes all the food taste like burnt element (UGH!) So I have given up and thrown it away replacing it with an old fashioned three tiered stainless steel steamer from M&S for £9.50 wish I had done that in the first place.

My DC01 was beginning to show its age, and though it had never given any trouble in the 10 years I've had it, at the first excuse I persuaded myself that it was time to buy a new Dyson. (The 'excuse' was actually a loose (fixable) wire but Opportunity was knocking . . .) I knew that Dysons had obviously come a long way since the 01 but the DC14 All floors is a good Quantum Leap ahead in technology and performance. I expected it to be better, but not that much better! My carpet appears to be a different colour, the cat hairs have completely gone, it cleans up to the edges much more efficiently than the 01, and I find the machine itself extremely easy to handle and manoeuvre around the house.
