The title track has never been one of my favourite Abba songs and so that doesn't start this one on a solid footing, although there is no doubt that Abba are the best thing ever to come out of the Eurovision Song Contest apart from Secret Garden. This has a similar feel to the first album, although the real hints of pop music writing genius are becoming evident in "Hasta Manana" one of their most endearing songs and a blueprint for so many pop songs that were to follow and "Dance (While the Music Still Goes On)". Sadly songs like "Sitting in the Palm Tree" and "King Kong Song" are dreadful and the kind of thing you would expect from trashy party groups like Black Lace. I really enjoyed this CD, specially INTERMEZZO NO.1. If you are an Abba fan - this product will not disappoint you. The inside booklet also a great souvernir. No disappointments at all.

If you are anything but an Abba fanatic, this album is far from being an essential purchase. Originally released in 1973 (it wasn't released in Britain until much later),the album features 12 pre-Waterloo tracks that vary in quality greatly. Some of these tracks will be familiar to anyone who bought the 1976 LP 'Greatest Hits' as this is where they made their first appearance in the UK. These tracks include 'Ring Ring' (which was almost Sweden's 1973 Eurovision entry), Another Town-Another Train, People Need Love (Abba's first single),He Is Your Brother and Nina,Pretty Balerina. Fantastic album -that goes without saying. Lovely package and booklet although the 'tracing paper' insert is a bit of a pain! I must admit I was very disappointed with the DVD. The performances are just them miming over tracks at various TV shows. The mini documentary features are very bland and feel emotionally cold. What I'd like to have seen on the package (and any future ones) New interviews with members of the group talking about each album track in detail. Genesis of track, lyrics, early versions/mixes etc More actual live material *Features with the people involved in the album, including those working on the reissue project.

This cd is brilliant, great value for money. Great for parties, especially at Christmas! The only down point is that it has some sort of copy protection so I could not put it on my mp3 player.

There have been numerous AbbA collections (Gold, More Gold, Greatest Hits 1 & 2, Thank You For The Music, etc) but this one is a must. Not only does it include the extended version of 'Voulez Vous', which is a rarity & the UK remix of 'Ring Ring' but it includes all of their promo videos. Along with Queen, ABBA were quick to see the importance and the necessity of a promo video and although the videos are not exactly exciting, who can ever forget the video's for 'Knowing Me Knowing You' or 'The Winner Takes It All'. If you are new to ABBA, this is the one for you but it is just as important for completests.

This set does not, despite the title, include the complete studio recordings. However, every studio track previously released is here. There are even about three exclusive tracks (or rather alternative versions of existing songs) not available anywhere else. To get the rest, you'd probably have to separately buy double the number of CD's included here, such is the rarity of some of the tracks. For instance, "I Am The City" was only previously included on "More Abba Gold" which has now been deleted. The only things you won't find in this set are the live recordings, however a new live CD is allegedly in the pipeline which will hopefully take care of these. I bought this album for 1 penny from Amazon (plus 1.24 postage and packing) and loved it. Apart from different people, I prefer this to Gold! It has the beautiful last song they recorded, When All Is Said And Done (Rare)
