These two CDs have to be some of the most honoured in my collection. The first CD, 'Alexisonfire', was so good that I listened to it non stop for months. The album's full of those amazing beats and guitar riffs you'll know from songs such as 'Waterwings' and 'Counterparts and Number Them'. Not to mention the amazing work of the polar opposite vocal work, between screaming and singing. The second album, 'Watch Out!', likewise is dressed to impress. With songs such as 'Control' and 'Accidents', this is in my opinion their softer album, but it still maintains the amazing sound of the first, if not softened in parts. Get these CDs NOW. ( :
An amazing buy.

I have all of the Alexisonfire EP's, and now all 3 of their studio albums. I can safely say this album totally rocks! Great pace and energy all the way through, with the exception of "You burn first" in the middle. I'm not a fan of the track, it's very experimental, but I can appreciate why it's there.

The main difference from this album and the older ones is that there isn't as much wandering guitar, if you know what I mean. In Watch Out! and Alexisonfire there is lots of melodic parts that slow down and then build up into a huge burst of awesomeness. This album lacks this slightly.

It totally makes it up though with such amazing energy and fantastic vocals coming through from all three singers.

Tsk tsk Canadian bands. That's why its shocking: they are really good. Don't get me wrong, I HATE screamo. I hope this will help non-emo-screamo fans out because for a non-fan I really dig this music.

Firstly, this album is more 'raw' and less 'mainstream refined' (ala Fallout Girls). AOF's latest album flows more along those lines, so before you get into this album, you might want to give that a try first to adapt. That said, if you liked the latest album, this one might be a bit harder for you. For the MTV generation, think a harder sounding Hoobastank (2001-2002) (AOF = Watch out!) before going bubblegum (2003-current) (AOF = Crisis). Hope you understood that.

It took a few listens before I liked them, then a few more and reading the lyrics ... Read More:

released in 2002 alexisonfires self titled debut show cased a band that have all the potential to go straight to the top of the pile, with three singers offering both clean and harsh vocals, there is every chance that you will take to this band like meat to a t-rex.
The quality of these songs cant be disputed ,offering moments of sheer aggression with loads of melodies backed up with riffs that iron maiden would dance along too,the clean vocals are a plenty here so dont be scared by the thought of over screaming, alexisonfire know that too much screaming can disguise the beauty of the melodies and chorus' so they dont go straight for the throat and hold onto until you are dead, they will let go and give you a chance to breathe, trust me!
The album is as packed as an expensive ... Read More:

Basically its a 6 track EP with both Alexisonfire and Moneen covering two of each others songs and then each play a new one each. Alexisonfire (AOF) show their brillance by producing some amazing covers yet Moneen fight back with impressive covers of AOF songs, which might I add must have been very difficult so Kudos to them. Its worth it just for the new tracks though as both bands whet their fans appetite for a taste of things to come in the coming year.

Passing of America - AOF do Moneen
Accidents are on purpose - Moneen do AOF
Tonight I'm Gone - AOF do Moneen
Sharks In Danger - Moneen do AOF
Bleed and Blister (Version 2) - Moneen
Charlie Sheen VS Henry Rollins - AOF

When I bought this album I had only heard a few 'Screamo' tracks and I hadn't heard anything by Alexis. This album is great, even if you are not a fan of this type of music I would recomend this album because it has some very good vocals and guitar, paricularly the intro to '44 caliber love letter'. Get this album and see for yourself. It will not disappoint.

Alexisonfire are an awesome band. Great music for a variety of listeners, George Pettie (lead singer) has a powerful voice and tones it down where it needs to be.

Some stand out songs on the album are:

Rough hands - starts out slow and then builds into one of the best songs on the album, realy shows off Georges voice and the band as a whole.

This could be anywhere in the world - An all out rock song (with a pretty good video as well), great riffs and great support vocals

You won't be disappointed by this album, good buy
