A work of total genius, if you handpicked all the best bits from the beta band and lonepigeon records and played them through a black hole backwards then "Luna" is what it would sound like. Dont think i'll ever get bored of hearing this.

well i first heard this album autumn last year and i have evntually got round to buying it! the first track i heard on the album was the second track 'robot man' i immediately thought of 70s esque psychedelic pop/rock, awesome! the aliens are pretty much made up of ex beta band members. i am totally hard pushed to describe the sound of this band, at a stab in the dark i would say early sounds of the who, bowie, marc bolan and even in instances the pop sound of the beach boys. one def not to be missed. my fave song on the album is the last track 'caravan', some of the vocals sound like a young jim morrison from the doors. you simply must buy this album if you want to hear something new but with old mixed in. bring on the follow up album........

I first heard the song Wish on Tony Hawks 3 and i knew i had to have the song and the album. I soon got the album and i havnt been able to stop listening to it since. All the songs are in my opinoin fantastic, they are all powerful and sung with lots of emotion and vigour. Im a fan of rock music and this album has loud and strong metal chords in spades! The songs like Flesh and Bone, Summer and Stranded are superb, there are also some hits like Smooth Criminal and Movies which you may have heard of already. This album is a must have for anyone in posession of a CD player and a good pair of ears. I already had the Anthology and was really impressed by its power and rock sound, when i was able to get my hands on their second album i jumped at the chance. the album opens well with the first 5 songs which i must admit carry on from where anthology left off but then the quality seems to drop and thepower just dissappears, there are no more metal chords and the lyrics fade a bit. i was slightly dissapointed but this second album did have a very steep hill to climb and the DVD is worth a watch as it is filled with songs from the better first album. This is a mediocre album with a half finished feel to it, the first five songs are woth a listen though and the DVD is ok. If you you have the first album, dont buy this one ... Read More:

I'm shocked no-one's reviewed this before. ASF are certainly a "cult" band at best. Partly because I don't think anyone, anywhere has ever produced anything similar. They've cornered the market by being idiosyncratic beyond anyone else. This album is to my mind their most accessible, by some way. I would attribute this primarily to its being absolutely the best thing they ever did. I am a very very big fan of theirs but unfortunately I have to say that most of their albums are a 50/50 mix of fantastic, unique songs and extremely silly filler material.
