I've never really been a fan of ashanti's music i've heard her first three albums i did not like them i've heard this album and i love it! her best so far my favorite tracks one the album are the way that i love you you're gonna miss so over you and the declaration and i like the rest i give this a 10/10 must buy! it's a pity that this album has gone to #119 in the uk albums chart but on the bright side it's #6 in the usa!

Ok so i'm a pretty new ashanti fan. My favourite song is Only U, so i decided I'd give her debut a go,not knowing any songs past Foolish. But I am now a big fan and looking forward to her new album in October. Heres what I think of the album: 1/Intro-I wont give it a rating cos its not really a song, but it plays ashantis work before the album. 2/Foolish-Brilliant!It was no.1 for months in The U.S, and its just...great!10/10 3/Happy-The second single,and a good summer song.8/10 4/Leaving-Love this song,shouldve been a single!Great Chorus 10/10 5/Narrative Call(Skit)- A skit,thats pretty laughable at. 6/Call-Good enough,catchy,but one of the weaker songs.8/10 7/Scared-Love this one!Great lyrics and good chorus.One ... i think that ashanti new song is very good it brings out your emotions and its a sort off song u could listen to all day long me and my mate stacy lusted sing it nearly every day we both love it i think ashanti has a lovely voice and she will really do well in life i have go her albem and i cant wait till she brings out a new one the video to it is also good she is really lucky to be riding on an elephant and the way she dances brings out the love in the song

THIS SONG IS INCREDIBLE!! Since last year when all of these 'Murder inc!' tunes started hitting the big time, I have been amazed at all of the talent that has been projected through their artists and producers!Irv Gotti is a genious! time after time he belts out these awsome songs of his production line from Jennifer Lopez's 'I'm real' and 'Aint it funny' remixes, to Ja Rule's 'Pain is Love' album and of course Ashanti's brilliant album. But 'Down 4 u' is the best yet!!!! And that is saying something!! The songs wicked groove makes my heart pound with excitement, Ashanti's voice in it cant be described as anything less than angelic and mixed with JaRule's unique raw rapping style balances it out to create that hard-hitting effect. This has to be the worst christmas CD ever! I havent a thing against Ashanti, this is just a really bad CD. The vocals are not at all up to par of what they should be and the production sounds as if it were done on a friday afternoon. I would seriously not consider buying this. Invest in a good christmas CD such as Christina Aguilera or Destiny's Child.

Please dont listen to negative reviews about this album. If you like early 90's sweet R&B non commercial sound then this is for you. I couldn't believe this was her on the album because she sounds so different than normal. In fact, she sings better on this early attempt at fame than some of her more recent stuff. This album is actually quite good. The songs are mostly slow, no 6 Dont Ever let me go being one of my favourites. This album is of the early-mid 90's R&B sound when music was made better. Honestly, i was also dubious about this before i got it, but i am now pleasantly surprised. Its so nice. The melodies are sweet.
