Bjork is amazing. She is unique in the most special way available - her lyrics are all so meaningful! This is her best album out of all of them, I'd say. 1. Human Behaviour - 10/10 - One of my favourite Bjork tracks, I love this song, it's great to dance to - although strangely its good to relax to. 2. Crying - 8/10 - Lovely song but gets a bit boring. 3. Venus As A Boy - 11/10 - My favourite Bjork song of all time -The lyrics are stunning - meaningful, beautiful and special - I absolutely LOVE this song and it's always being played on my iPod. 4. From the industrial-tinged "Army of Me" to the big-band noise of "It's Oh So Quiet" to the spookily catchy "Possibly Maybe". Bjork sure knows how to construct an album. The only downpoint is "Cover Me", the scary song of the album!

All Is Full Of Love. 10/10 OVERALL GRADE: 10/10 1997 was a brilliant year. Janet released 2The Velvet Rope", Prince released the not so great "Crystal Ball" and Michael released the c**p release "Blood On The Dance Floor & HIStory In The Mix". Bjork was a international phenomenon and in 1997, released the stunning "Homogenic". Not one of the songs is 2nd rate, all are brilliant. The only reason I gave "Unravel" a 9 becuase it is very slow and "Immature" is very repetitive.

to anyone wondering whether to buy this album, do it! i went 5 years unaware of this masterpiece and what a source of musical joy it has made in my life. wonderful melodies, haunting intimate vocals and lyrics, luscious soundscapes, warm electronic beats, glorious choir. personal favourites are 'undo' 'it's not up to you' and 'unison' and when the choir comes in toward the end it really is musical heaven. i'm a big u2 fan and i didn't think anyone else could come close but i have to say if i had to take one album with me to a desert island then this would be it. happy listening folks!

Am just listening to this now and I cant believe how great it is. I have loved every CD she has done so far but this is so different. Bjork's experimentation in music is so moving and I hope she never stops taking risks

I wasted my money on the previous album, being a big fan of Bjork, then made the same mistake with this. There are no tunes on this album. Mostly it's just clatter and noise and pretty horrible to listen to. I'm all for experimentation, but not just for the sake of it please.

It got bashed a little bit when it first came out that the film was poorly shot and Bjork would never be able to carry a lead role successfully. They never figured that the film would be built around her amzing voice though. If I am in mood, (often), and feeling like there's no inspiration left in the world, even if I can't sleep, this is the soundtrack I turn to. Sounds made up for the lead charcter's lack of eyesight - and then some. Admittedly I had this before I saw the film, a couple of things made more sense after watching the movie though. This is the John Tavener born in the 1940's, not the John Taverner (with an `R') of the 1490's. Their music is quite different, so the mistaken identity will only be made once in terms of CD purchases. John Tavener was born in London in 1944, hence this double CD of his popular works being released in 2004 to mark his 60h birthday. Much of the music here is short pieces from the full works so gives a good overview to the newcomer, to whom this is directed, of the style of music produced by the composer. The range of music is varied, at times startlingly so, from the freestyle and unpredictable `Mandelion for organ' to the slightly eerie `Prayer of the Heart' with the subtle string playing of the Brodsky quartet played alongside the harshly grating sound of Bjork ... Bjork is renowned for reworkings of her songs, both in terms of live performances (The Vespertine Live album is phenomenal) and remixes, and this is probably where you'll find the best and most-diverse collection of remixes. I was quite dissapointed by the remixes of tracks off Debut that I heard, and as Post is my least favourite Bjork record I didn't expect anything special from this collection. However, I now regard this a significant part of the Bjork oeuvre. The Evelyn Glennie version of My Spine stands out, partially as it isn't on the UK version of Post, but mostly because of its simultaneous expression of violence and tenderness (so typically Bjork).
