Black Sabbath's most famous album with some amazing songs which are War Pigs, Paranoid, Iron Man(I Am Iron Man) & Fairies Wear Boots (best song on the album?). The rest of the album sadly took awhile to grow on me but when they do you start to notic some cool tracks like Hand Of Doom & Electric Funeral. Overall a brilliant album some wicked songs on but their debut album is so much better. So i suggest buy that first if you dont ave any Sabbath albums buy their Self titled debut album Black Sabbath that's mindblowing. BLACK SABBATH ROCK!!!!!!!

for all you young metal fans , who ever wondered, "where did metal come from, when did it begin" well you are now looking at the very first album of heavy metal, some people will tell you, that metal was made by led zepplin, the kinks, jimmy hendrix or other mere hard rock bands of teh 60's but they are wrong. go ahead, listen to a whole lotta love, then listen to the track black sabbath on this cd, and see the difference. this is were metal started, if you dont believe this review then see teh documentary "heavy, teh story of metal"

buy this if you love metal, the production is dated but teh music is timeless

This album is brilliant. Ignore the negative reviews, this is a great album. The song Changes just reminds me of the awful cover by Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne so I do not like it, but the rest is brilliant. It's what you'd expect from the early Black Sabbath albums a great metal album with a bluesy feel to it. Best songs are Wheels Of Confusion/The Straightener, Under The Sun/Everyday Comes And Goes & Supernaut. Recommended to Black Sabbath fans. I like any Black Sabbath albums as I always enjoy Tony Iommi's guitar playing so no Black Sabbath album is bad. BLACK SABBATH ROCK!!!!!!!!!!

Music : The Best of Black Sabbath
This really is the best of Black Sabbath. If you have not heard of them or are just trying them out because you know they are classed as legends then you cannot go wrong with this compilation.
If you are a Sabbath fan but maybe you have all their recordings on vinyl then go for the box set 1970-1978 instead.
If you are trying out Sabbath because of Ozzy Osbourne and recent found glory then be aware that this material is harding hitting than his solo material, with more guitar rifts and darker lyrics, but it is brilliant.

I grew up listening to Black Sabbath. During the mid-70s they, along with Rush, established themselves as my favorite band. I've had all the early Ozzy era albums on vinyl, then on CD and now I treated myself to these remasters on the strength of Joe Siegler's review on his excellent Sabbath webpage.

I wasn't disappointed. There's a clarity and depth here that isn't present on the other versions I've owned previosuly, so its a delight to listen to these newly polished versions. Bill comes across better than ever, and they haven't mucked up Tony and Geezer's sounds in the process.

Well packaged, with a smart velvet-covered booklet telling the band's story & including the full set of Geezer-sanctioned lyrics.

I won't go into detail on the music : ... Read More:

Music : The Best of Black Sabbath
First of all I think it is plain to anyone that Sabbath invented HEavy Metal and are still the best in the buisness today.

Secondly, Black Sabbath are far better live, and I listen to my Black Sabbath live cds (and I listen to my live cds far more) than they are in the studio they are slightly caged in my opinion and the sheer power of the songs are lost slightly. However despite this if you only own one Sabbath album it should be this one, as it takes four songs off each of the first six Ozzy albums. This basically means all of the good ones! Plus the title track of Heaven and HEll.

Another complaint though is who came up with the bright idea of not putting Changes on here?? Probably one of the Best Sabbath songs ever!!! (I also think that Under the Sun should have been on ... Read More:
