Ten years and still going strong The Chemical brothers might just have come up with their strongest album yet. We are the night is surprisingly fresh and full of ideas. The drums are as ever snappy, the beats lithe and unpredictable. My favourites are the oriental-flavoured Saturate, the minimal electro-pop of Das Speigal (aptly named,) and the ambient, driving beat of Burst Generator. There is indeed something for everyone on this, from the familiar dancefloor mover Do it Again to the beatifully harmonic The Pills don't work, guest vocalist Midlake sounds very much like Neil Young. This record serves as a fine revindication of The Chemical Brothers place at the top of the British dance tree. Buy it!

With all their other albums, there are always tracks I really like a lot and some I'm not so keen on, but with this one, I like all of it. A good dancey album, from the brilliant "Galvanise" to the end. Stand out track for me is the brilliant hip hop inspired "Left Right". Most tracks have a slightly different feel to them than the rest, even though the upbeat dancey theme seems to run throughout. Great!

Way back when, this was one of the defining big beat albums. Massive percussion, explosions etc underneath layers of almost discordant samples and loops. It broke the Brothers into the mainstream with Block Rockin Beats leading the way on the radio, and Setting Sun ticking the celebrity vocals box. Ten years on, this remains a cracking album. The tracks merge into one soundtrack, which veers between the plaintive Where Do I Begin to the real hardcore mid section of the album. Sometimes you get a nice neat packaged chorus sing a long, and sometimes you get a real mashup of noise. But the quality shines through. i have all the albums (apart from we are the night) and i think this has to be the best. yes the beats are quite simple, but they are genius! very addictive listening if your in the mood. tracks 1-6 are quite simply brilliant. "leave home" is a brilliant start to the album and probably their best piece of work. another track is "three little birdies down beats" this is very repetitive, but is a tune which will get you dancing. "f*ck up beats" is basically a follow up beat to "chemical beats" and they both mix in very well. from track 6 onwards the pace of album slows and is more relaxed, track 10 is very weird but is something different to listen to. if you havent got this album then buy it! i worried that it may sound dated but in reality it doesnt, as ... When asked "What is your favourite Chemical Brothers album?" most people say Dig Your Own Hole. Although that album is among one of the great electronic albums, this release is much more innovative and cultural with hits such as "It Began in Afrika" and "The Test" featuring Richard Ashcroft. Come with Us easily fits into my top ten favourite albums and I recommend it to any fan of electronic music. My favourite tracks in the album - Star Guitar, The Test, My Elastic Eye
