You can argue about who's been most successful or who has the most stage presence, but when it come to sheer vocal ability Christina has her peers beat hands down. It's amazing that this voice can come out of such a tiny woman, but vocally she's more than a match for the likes of Aretha, Patti and Whitney. This Greatest Hits album not only shows off her power but also her versatility - from her pop beginnings she's moved on and tried her hand at jazz, blues, rock, RnB and everything in between. Even her teen pop is catchier and has more bite than your average commercial throwaways, but in songs like Fighter and Beautiful she shows off true soul and grit as an artist. I consider myself to be one of the most hardcore and dedicated Christina Aguilera fans around. And now she's returned from maternity leave with this 17 track Greatest Hits collection to keep us satisfied until her next sudio album expect for release in summer 2009. 1.The album kicks off with her debut single which peaked at No.1, Genie In A Bottle. It's classic Christina from her cookie cutting days where she made great pop music. A timeless tune with a great beat. 2.Next is her second single, What A Girl Wants. In my opinion, no other artist could have come out with an album like this, because this album pretty much pushed every boundary, and broke every rule, and was such a stark contrast to her debut, to Christina this album was about coming out, and being herself instead of the `fake' & `forced' bubblegum pop star she was on the first album, although there is plenty of darkness on this album, it still speaks true of Christina, and she certainly doesn't hold anything back. I have to admit, i wasn't a big fan of Christina when she first came out. I thought she would just turn out to be a typical bubble-gum pop icon. However this album has proved me wrong. In a word, this album is AMAZING!! When i was growing up my parents would always be playing old soul and blues music, which i loved, this album is like a tribute to that style of music. I think other artists these days should go Back to Basics, and make good listening music rather than just club tracks all the time. Stand out tracks include: Makes me wanna pray, Back in the day, Ain't no other man, Understand and Mercy On Me.

I love this, its my favorite holiday album. This album is modern yet you still feel there are traditional elements in this album. I bought this album a year ago and i'm glad i did because it still sounds just as fresh.

Finally a CD with songs on it that empathsize Christinas true talent.Its great to finally hear songs that are all about the words and the great sound of Christinas voice instead of her body.I really like this song and wish there were more of them.

I love this artist, this girl is a tremendous hit!!! and this is her real first album; i like the dancing tracks like GENNIE IN A BOTTLE, COME ON OVER (ALL I WANT IS YOU), SO EMOTIONAL and LOVE FOR ALL SEASONS;It has the great ballads REFLECTION (from Disney's Mulan), I TURN TO YOU, OBVIOUS and WHAT A GIRL WANTS; If you have MI REFLEJO, you can hear some of this songs in their Spanish versions, but in the case of WHAT A GIRL WANTS the rhythm is different if you compare the MI REFLEJO'S version UNA MUJER (but the song is the same). One of the greatest female voices of the 21th Century!!!

Christina's brand new single, 'Keeps Gettin' Better' taken from her upcoming Keeps Gettin Better: A Decade of Hits [Deluxe CD + DVD] puts forth a generous taste of her new direction & style change musically & her latest image overhaul, it has a strong chorus with feisty lyrics, 'Somedays I'm A Superbitch / Up To My Own Tricks', also an electro-pop sound, very similar sounding to the average modern day Britney Spears track except with more power & charisma vocally, plus if Christina has Britney's sound then in my opinion she's making a much better job of it, to conclude a brilliant up-beat dancefloor track that deserved a slightly better chart position, only peaking at #7 on the Billboard hot 100.

When i bought this CD, i was unaware that Christina herself did not want people to buy it. If i had of known i wouldn't have bought it. The CD itself is okay. Christina's voice is just as fabulous as ever but the style is much unlike her and it reflects the type of music that was around during this era. It is nothing compared to "Stripped" but as i said Christina sounds great and there are a few good songs, such as "Believe Me" and my personal favourite "Dream A Dream". Diehard fans like myself will like it. Christina shouldn't be too ashamed of this it was ecceptional for a girl of 14 and 15 to produce. well done chris!
