was amazed at the transfer quality as earlier works sound tinny. I forgot how divers Cream is. It is as if they were experimenting with different types of songs. This is better than having variations of the same thing across the whole CD. It did not take me long to fall in love with the individual songs again. Everyone is familiar with "White Room" which is what made me think of this first but few remember "Pressed Rat and Warthog" or "Those Were the Days". Bottom line the album is worth discovering or rediscovering.

This is a stunningly excellent album from Pink Cream 69. Actually I barely know this band, a friend made me listen to one of their early albums and I gave this one a shot. I am glad I bought it. It is a heavy melodic band, in some sense similar to Jaded Heart and maybe Scorpions (all three bands from Germany). I was hooked at the first listen and I was bracing myself for the obligatory ballad at each track but no, no ballad (maybe one slower tune but not a ballad), only powerful music and great vocals. Absolute must have and something to discover if you like this kind of music. If I dare say so (;-) this is as good as "Blood from Stone" from Dare (Darren Wharton' band).

Even as a Cream fan from right back in 1966,I'm amazed at how good they still sound now. Even better,I'm gobsmacked at how well this compo is put together. It scores heavily by lumping the life stuff to one side ie CD2. Cream were astounding live,most nights,BUT they could also ramble on,and they were never made for very long tours,but the live disc happily captures energetic and challenging efforts. In the studio, they were 2 different bands. As a heavy clue,their 1st record,the single Wrapping Paper was more like the bloody New Vaudeville Band! But,as the subsequent studio albums showed,all that proved was their ear for a good pop tune and they had a decent number of chart hits to show for it. They ... Read More:

If you are an ardent Cream collector - don't be fooled! This is the 'Inside Cream' DVD - repackaged with some additional Jack Bruce Band live Cream numbers. The only pertinent addition is a song clip of Jack Bruce playing a solo? acoustic guitar for 'As You Said'. Having said that, if you haven't already got 'Inside Cream', then thios is an interesting perspective!

This could so easily have been a truly complete collection of all the authorised Cream material but instead of giving us all the live tracks they wasted space with ex-demo tracks of marginal importance. The omission of one of the live versions of 'Politician', from 'Goodbye Cream', one of their finest performances, is unforgivable and means that it is obvious that no-one new to Cream should buy this as a short cut to a complete collection. After all it's not even cheap to buy the (almost) 'complete' Cream this way. It's more economical to buy all 6 original albums which are now cheap and easy to get. But there are two other ommissions as well. If they wanted to give everyone a reason to buy this set they should have gone about putting together ... Read More:
