This album is great and definately worth the wait with the most outstanding songs being: Hippy's Son, Plastic Hearts, Tired of England, Faultlines and Best Face.... So half the album really, which proves just how great this album is. Infact the other songs i feel are not very far behind and i am sure they will grow on me.
This album shows the Dirty Pretty Things find a slightly calmer sound while still keeping that angry, exciting energy.
So all in this is a very successful second album and i think they have not fallen into the trap of producing poor quality second albums. This album shows the Dirty Pretty things find their style.

This is a really, really good album, and it follows Babyshambles' debut by being basically how you'd expect the relevant Libertines to make music on his own.

In Carl Barat's case, the songs are stomping, with the guitars loud, the rhythm of the words as fascinating as the melodies, and the words a little poeting, and quite a lot angry.

The highlight without question is the brilliant single, Bang Bang You're Dead, with its infectious chorus and excellent lyric. Alongside that, though, are a number of songs which would comfortably have slotted in alongside most of the Libertines' work. My particular favourite is probably the opener, Deadwood, which breeds a lovely sense of excitement and sets the tone as Barat flexes his songwriting ... Read More:

Very good CD and don't let the mediocre Bang Bang You're Dead single put you off. It is thouroughly recommended for all Libertines fans because the material is very similar, and that is part of the problem of this CD really. I would have liked Carl to transform a wee bit more. If you ask me I would say Pete has the better post Libertines CD.

Never listened to Dirty pretty things, Babyshambles anything like that, but i heard this on Soccer AM and loved it!

It is absolute magic, my taste of music is varied. From Classical to Indie, from Rock and roll to Glamour Rock, and Crooners to Rap. But this song is one of my all time favorites!

Now to hear their album, lets hope its as good!
