Gabrielle will claim herself that she is nota soul singer as she simply doesn't possess the voice to be one. But she is a good solid and consistant performer who has churned out some really nice tracks in the last 10 years. I'm into Rnb/Soul/Hip Hop, but I have no problem saying that I own this really good set of songs. Her music has never been groundbreaking, but has always been good. "Dreams" is her signature track, and most people's favourite Gabrielle track. I know it is mine. Its her story. It what she is about. It was "Bridget Jones's Diary" that got my attention in relation to Gabrielle with her amazing song, "Out of Reach". Since then, I haven't followed her every musical move, but when I saw that she was releasing a new album, my interest was piqued again. Seeing her recently on T.V. for a behind the scenes mini-documentary about the making-of her single "Why", I finally decided to purchase ALWAYS. The overall feel of the album is about love at the end stages. Some of the tracks are more sombre than others, whilst there are tracks that show you that someitmes the person who does the leaving is often the one who shall regret walking away (for example, "Cold Sober Moment"). Well, Gabrielle has done it again! She provided us with the album 'Find your way', with the likes of 'Dreams' (brilliant song), but this album has out won them all! My favourite song, has to be 'Out of Reach', which is currently out at this present time which is also on the recent album 'Rise'. This album works because Gabrielle has included soulful tunes, which some are upbeat (e.g. 'when a woman') or just one's that you can relax to. So, you can listen to the album whatever mood your in! I hope the day will never come when Gabrielle stops making music, because the day she does music wouldn't be music without Gabrielle. So, keep on rolling out those tunes!

gabrielles latest album to date is probably her best to date...hard to say when the rest were just as perfect!!! however the songwriting and lyrics on this album are amazing.!!! Ten years time" was the second single and it flopped!!! but that doesnt mean to say it isnt amazing!!! its reflective for the listener 'where you gonna be in ten years time, will you be happy with the way you been living your life'....a top! top tune! i wont bore you with a track by track listing but the brilliant songwiting is open and easy to listen / understand! its hard to say which are the best songs as they are all great "stay the same" the first single, is wonderful! you meet someone - they leave...you wonder what changed as you havent! ... Whereas "Ritual" focusses on the Rhythm of "Flowing" out of her dance/movement practice of the 5 Rhythms, this one embodies all of them, so if you're thinking of taking up this practice, pay attention!! This CD was designed to fulfil basic 5 Rhythms practice. There are no words or vocals, only music. The first track is a "warm-up" track. The next five tracks follow the Rhythms in order: "Dolphin" for Flowing, "Raven" for Staccato, "Snake" for Chaos, "Deer" for Lyrical and "Wolf" for Stillness.
