I think the title ive chosen to head my review says it all.Xanadu the album(ELOs contributions only)is more of what we've come to expect from the greatest band of all time.The other songs on the album vary in quality between not bad and down right awful.DO NOT!!!! buy this album then think to yourself"He's full of it,these songs are great,im buying the film"cos this atitude will only leave you however many pounds,dollars whatever lighter in the pocket and have taken up 90 minutes of you.re life you'll never get back.so In conclusion get the album,dont follow this up by seeing the movie.

The songs on this album are okay due to their age, but the biggest gripe I have is that most of the songs seem to be edited. Even the title track is only about 3 minutes long. The editing isn't done very good either with songs suddenly jumping to a different instrument. Not very good sadly. You'd be better off buying the soundtrack to "Singin' in the Rain" if you want the songs from that film. I wish I did now.

After searching shops in vain for a Gene Kelly album,I found this on Amazon.co.uk. It is well worth the price as it contains Gene's best songs, aswell as an info-packed album sleeve with classic photos and all you need to know about Gene and the many musicals he appeared in.Though ideal for fans of Gene Kelly or musicals and hopeless romantics like myself, it is still a good, easy listening album for anyone to enjoy.With light-hearted, feelgood songs that either make you smile or make your heart melt, you can't help but sing and dance along!
