Music : For Me and My Gal: Original Film Soundtrack [SOUNDTRACK]
This recording is fantastic! I went to see the stage show three times in 1996 at Aberystwyth Uni, got to know the cast really well and fell in love with the music. I go nowhere without this CD and feel utterly horrible when I can't play it. I have now got a whole group of people listening to it too. You'll love it!

This CD is an absolute must for those who enjoy the Meet Me In St. Louis film as the songs are just instant classics. Highlights are 'The Boy Next Door', 'The Trolley Song' and the heartfelt 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas'. All of these songs are brilliant and with Judy singing them make having this CD all the worth while. What else can you say, but a great Soundtrack to and absolutely great movie!

Music : Lauritz Melchior's complete MGM Recordings 1946-1947
The Danish tenor Lauritz Melchior established himself as one of the world's leading Wagnerian tenors after being invited to Bayreuth by Siegfried Wagner. Besides his career on the opera stage, Melchior became a popular `cross-over' artist and household name, appearing on radio and in films. While he was making films in Hollywood - "I like a little vacation from Valhalla" - Melchior made the 27 tracks featured on this disc. In addition to well-known arias from Tosca and Pagliacci, Melchior sings Schubert, selections from operettas, popular songs by Jerome Kern and Cole Porter, and Scandinavian songs.

This is an absolute gem of a CD. As it is hard to find CDs of Lena's movie recordings, this is an absolute find and is very much a must have item. This CD includes all of Lena's MGM recordings, and highlights include 'The Lady Is A Tramp', 'Can't Help, Loving Dat' Man' and the quirky 'You Got Looks'. All of these songs are classics and with Lena singing them makes it a great CD to have. Overall, a must have CD which you will find yourself singing along to, more often then you'd probably admit to!

What a great CD. There are some really good songs on here, my favourites are Lena Horne's 'Honeysuckle Rose' and the full version of 'On The Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe' from The Harvey Girls. This CD is great for those who have just got into musicals, and of course for those who have been watching and listening for years. All in all, a brilliant CD with great songs that you'll find yourself humming along to.
