Well thank goodness all that "Number 1" pap is well behind us, and the luscious, dirty and fantabulous Goldfrapp have went back to making decent records. Granted, they peaked a couple of years back, but this is still the sexiest record of the year so far. No idea why the dribble that is "Slide In (DFA remix) Edit" was allowed near a pressing plant, but maybe it ties in with the garbage from the "White Horse" video.

Wow! - this is amazing and as Alison sings herself, this is indeed 'Wonderful Electric'. I can't recommend this highly enough. It has the sultry seductive breathy vocal style of Blondie's 'Rapture' and Donna Summer's 'I feel love' with the electronic beat of Georgie Moroder as stated by another reviewer, combined with the sleaze factor of 'Sex Dwarf' by Softcell, which also had a great dirty throbbing synth beat to it, finished off with the cool glacial gloss of Visage. This has really turned me on to the power of Goldfrapp (In more ways than one) and I will be buying 'Black Cherry' and 'Supernature' within the next few days on the strength of this, I recommend others do the same. I am totally seduced.

This cd single has to stand the comparison with CD 1, which is brilliant.And well, it doesn't. The Ewan Pearson remixes of "Strict Machine" and "Train" are dull (here we can only find the dub versions, vocal versions can be found on the promo 12"ers)It seems they did not want to give the good remixes away to the people who buy the CDs..whoever knows why.. The Rowan Remix is kind of okay though.

I'm not a fan of Goldfrapp or Black Cherry but I had to get this for the trippy video for the Blondie style Strict Machine. The Utopia live video track was good too.

[...]Seriously though, if you are a fan of Black Cherry and/or Felt Mountain (or even Goldfrapps latest offerings on Supernature) you will surely love this DVD. A good handful of the tracks are previously unreleased and make the DVD worth the money just for that, but when you take into account that it's a double disk affair then how can you say no!? :) From the idyllic tranquility of utopia and lovely head, to the rock chic stomping that can only be found with train and strict machine when performed live, this is by far the best live act I have seen in recent years.
