Legendary Perfomances of GencerAll Opera Lovers over a certain age are extremely greatful to Gencer who brought us Operas like "Anna Bolena","Saffo",and "Elisabetta,Reine D'Inghilterra"on pirate LPs before the record companies got round to them.Her voice was not the greatest or easiest to listen to,but she put her heart and soul into every performance,and enabled to us to hear these (then) rare gems. The transfers are very good,and the supporting casts are excellent,buying this set will enable you to hear great Opera with great artists at a budget price.

I totally agree with the last two reviewers. I really like this CD - it was an unexpected find. It shows that minimal is an art - I'd say it was more like minimal techno than tech-house so maybe that's why the other guy was disappointed?

Un merveilleuse version, délicieusement italienne. Jurinac est à son meilleur, Bruscantini et Sciutti sont idéaux. Et le maestro Gui nous offre vraiment une folle journée.
