The music is tranquil and relaxing and is good quality for the price. It makes good background music for concentrating on a task when you don't want to work or read in silence, but don't want to be distracted by music. There are several CDs in the Ambient Heaven collection; I also bought "Sounds of the Forest, but I found that was inferior quality and quite tacky in comparison to the `Dawn' CD. "Anti-stress" and "Sleep" in the `Body & Soul' collection were better quality than these however.

I have never been into classical music, however the TV programs Maestro and Last Choir standing (I know trash TV... sorry) made me realise I did like some classical music. So time to test that theory, and of course this CD fitted the bill perfectly, a bit of everything and 99% you will probably know. Good album, maybe I may have discovered culture :-)

My knowledge of classical music is not so advanced, but it is a breed of music you must learn to appreciate if you get what I mean. I am to keen to expand my knowledge of classical music, so buying this album is a great starting point. Classical music is a breed of music which existed long time ago and is really old fashioned, but a real pleasure to listen to. It is very much instrumental orientated. You can hear the piano, violin or the flute with their distinctive sounds in the background. The Most Relaxing Classical Music in the World is an excellent album featuring and honouring the talents of all the major acts to embrace their names in classical music combined in four CDs. What a talent! Finzi is a marvel in 20th century British music. This cd is a wonderful collection, beautifully played, of some of this country's finest classical music. Perhaps Finzi is just too pleasing to the ear for the purest, but the accessibilty of his marvellous music is an absolute treat. Even the kids like this cd.

To accompany Vikram Seth's novel 'An Equal Music' - this two-CD set of nearly two and a half hours, is exquisite even if the book doesn't appear on your bookshelf! Seth himself has chosen the performances and the playing is breath-taking! Included is Schubert's, 'Trout', which whisks me back to first year in secondary school and the end of year production - real nostalgia. Vaughan Williams/The Lark Ascending - captivating! Certainly a worthy investment and a lovely way to spend a summer's evening with a glass, or two, of chilled white wine!

I found this music to be tacky and poor quality in comparison with other CDs of this style. The title does not fit at all, there is nothing to put you in mind of forests and it could benefit from more natural sounds. There are several CDs in the Ambient Heaven collection; I also bought "Dawn, which I found to be pleasant and definitely better than this one.

This CD is wonderful and has been exceptionally usefull for my A2 performance investigation; she plays so differently from many clarinettists and so gives me plenty to talk about. Hearing the 5 Bagatelles has been really good for my own performances too; I've learnt a lot by hearing another play the pieces.

If you want to sooth away your troubles then you will enjoy this, you can almost feel you are on the beach listening to the waves crashing to the shore, and the sea breeze blowing over you. Soothing music in the background.

Every year at this time Classic FM bring out a new triple CD set - and this year's is even better than the ones that have come before. I didn't think they'd be able to better "Time to Relax", which was last year's album - but they have! And they've done it in some style too by choosing music from their evening programme "Smooth Classics at Seven", which is presented by the legendary John Brunning. I can't recommend this album enough. And it does just what it says on the box. I've got my copy in the car at the moment - it's perfect as an antidote to a journey from Hull to Manchester on the M62 every morning. I'm seriously considering ordering two more copies - one for the office and one for home - the music choice really is that good. This is excellent stress ... Read More:
