A fantastic double disk mix which I absolutely love. Fantastic selection of tracks and flawless mixing. CD 1 is chillout, but beautiful. CD 2 is a great example of prog house - every track is stunning, upbeat, melodic and musically interesting, and the mix wonderful (if you liked James Holden's Balance, you will love this). This has shot up there in my favourites. Perfect. If all mixes were as good as this I would be one happy bunny.

Hybrid produced a debut album that could almost have sunk them, so good was its content, and indeed here they seem to get off the mark slowly with a much leaner, introspective and dark mood permeating proceedings... However, by the time we reach 'I'm Still Awake' and then 'We Are In Control', we're back in familiar barn-storming territory... Add to that 'Gravastar' and the mega closing track 'Blackout' and you have a must-have techno-trance album from the Welsh masters... Don't just get this, get all their output, now....

As a huge fan of Hybrid, I eagerly awaited this CD, and I was disappointed to say the least when the CD arrived and the casing was cracked, and crushed in the corner. A rare damaged good from Amazon though I have to say. Anyway, thankfully the CD played and I'm so glad it did. I assume this single is a poster for the full album, and if so, the next album should be amazing. It's so great to listen to an original Hybrid track, without worrying about the terrible singer murdering the musical arrangement (with the exception of Julee Cruise who sounded amazing in Wide Angle). This has always been my only criticism of Hybrid; they produce amazing music only to ruin a beautifully produced track by getting a singer who can't sing their way out of ... Read More:

I always look at the reviews on here and wonder what sort of a person actually bothers to write one (that'd be me from this moment on!) Life is too short to actually care what other people think of your taste in music. BUT this is nothing short of beautiful. I 'stumbled' over this album ages ago and it began a life long love of this band. To anyone who thinks this is souless electronica/break beat etc etc, listen to 'Finished Symphony'. If you still aren't moved by the pure beauty of this track, it's time for a full frontal labotomy and triple heart bypass. 'Epic' falls short as far as I'm concerned. I'd heard of hybrid b4 - read the generally fantastic reviews and based on this I purchased Wider Angle. First hearing I thought OK good but what is all the fuss about. The more I listened and analyzed the better it got. God what a complex 'avalanche of sound'. What a grower this album is. You have to listen to it. A CLASSIC. The live sets especially 'Snyper' are so crisp and deep - the crowd noise actually adds to the energy / vibrance - ASTONISHING. I don't normally like live sets but this is excellently produced and you hear the crowds reactions in the right places. This album includes some of the best tracks I have ever heard. If your a Hybrid fan don't go near this album it will just make u mad. if u like cheap trance rip off's off great tracks and have never really heard any of hybrids earlyer stuff, u could take a chance on this album u may like it.

This CD combines breakbeat with trance, track 2 even has elements of house. The rolling bass line and brilliant vocals really make this CD. If I only bought one single this month, this would have to be it. Simply the best single I have in my collection.

this is one of the best tunes i have heard in a long time. it has a great orchestral piece behind an infectious trance/ dance beat. it's a total must buy especially those just getting into dance/ trance and house music.
