Good selection of tracks, and good sound. Only downside- cd cover has no history, or lyrics. You can go to YouTube.com to see videos of Johnny singing "I can see clearly now" plus a good cover by Jimmy Cliff in the '80s.

So good to see this beautiful album finally on CD. This man never got the recognition he deserved, and this was posssibly his finest album. Wonderful melodies - several from the equally under-rated pen of Rabbit Bundrick - innovative, unhyped arrangements and some genuinely orginal lyrics. The rock wisdom of the time had Nash as some sort of bubblegum pretender to Bob Marley's throne. In reality he was a major innovator and one of the great black voices - who could stand comparison with Sam Cooke, never mind Bob Marley. Grab this CD while its around. The sound quality falls a tad short of top notch, and they haven't used the best mixes (there was originally a quad as well as a stereo version of the LP, and the quad sound was mainly better). ... Johnny Nash had a slew of hits during the 1970s with his reggae ditties that often made the top 10 on both sides of the Atlantic. They're all still very enjoyable and some, like I Can See Clearly Now, have been much covered by other artists. My favourites include There Are More Questions Than Answers, Hold Me Tight, Guava Jelly, Stir It Up and Tears On My Pillow. The melodies are really gripping and most of the songs have a type of hypnotic effect on the listener. Nash's sound reminds me a bit of Desmond Dekker, although it is more slick and polished and about as far away from roots reggae as you can get, barring Boney M's reggae excursions. Still very original, very catchy and highly enjoyable after all these years.
