As other reviewers have put it, simply fantastic, energetic music!! It also corresponds well to the Buena Vista 2007 tour sound, which has gone more to the brassy band sound. Essential, 'nuff said?

This album sounds a bit different from the All Stars' debut. It's not its style, though: everything is still there, from the subtly understated percussion to the stabbing, polished horn section. This is a conceptually different album - and some of the conceptual difference is carried over into its sound. There are a couple of songs that feel far detached from the 50s tradition the All Stars are thought to emulate, especially so when the lyrics are considered (the title track being the album's finest example). Also, the varety of styles on the recording is a little out of sync - you'll hear a bolero, a splendid piece of Afro-Cuban jazz, and even a son in the finest tradition of Compay Segundo. I was looking forward to hear this new album by Juan de Marcos Gonzales, knowing what he have produced before. I consider him a man of perfection and a frontier. His recording result will always be what I call "perfect" in every details, and he does not compromise. I like his way of arrangement and use of effects, and this CD is defenitely not what one will expect as the traditional Cuban. He gathered young Cuban talents and variations of styles such as Latin jazz, funk, son, bolero, french, all put together in one album is pleasure for listeners looking for something new. "Addimu a Chango" is a rearranged funky version of what he recorded before, and please blast your system when you listen to this CD. It will make you hear all the details of the effect and ...
