I bought this for Camisa Negra which I love and hoped that more tracks would be in the same style. Unfortunately not so. But it is an interesting mix of very different styles, sure to please a varied audience. I must say other than the above song the best pieces were the bonus tracks from the Un Dia Normal album. The sound on it was much more pleasant. I did not like the symphony like accompanyment on Mi Sangre. Too much orchestra, prefer hearing guitar and vocals and percussion. AFTER LISTENING TO THIS FOR AWHILE- I love it!! Some of the most beautiful songs are the slower ones. So I definitely recommend it to everyone who loves latin music. Definite Colombian flavour!! Great Stuff.

He is so talented and I love how is songs are so wholesome and soulfull. This is an artist that sings from his heart and sings about things he believes in. All the songs have a unique sound and are beautiful. I loved Juanes since I heard A Dios le Pido many many years ago. I've not looked back since. I've just introduced him to my friends and they (with no/little understanding of spanish)like him too! Hopefully they will love him like I do but no pressure. :)

I ordered it after buying and liking Mi Sangre and found 'Un Dia Normal' just as good. I'd heard some of the songs (A Dios Le Pido, Es Por Ti, La Paga, Fotografia) as bonus tracks on Mi Sangre which helped. Those four are all favourites along with Mala Gente (gorgeously venomous), La Historia de Juan (Lyrically heartbreaking) and La Noche (Can't stop dancing to it). Those are favourites, but I can't really say there's a bad track on here. Plus translating the songs has expanded my vocab and helped on my Spanish course!! I really recommend it to anyone, whether you understand Spanish or not, if you like great music, you'll love this album.

This album was my introduction to Juanes. Having heard "La Camisa Negra" on the music channel I just had to buy it. I speak very little spanish but that doesn't matter because you can appreciate the musicality and there are plenty sites on the internet which give translations. I now have all of his albums and find it fascinating how he's developed since "Fijate Bien". Every album is different and for those who say Juanes has lost his way - that's just not true. He refuses to fit nicely into a specific genre so he can use all his influences and since he has the talent to do this I have no problem with it. The only song I don't like on the album is "Tu Guardian" which is a bit slow and not a good album ender. 10/10 Definitely ... Read More:

I discovered Juanes last year after buying La Camisa Negra and Mi Sangre, which started me trying to track down his previous albums. I've been pleased to find that both Fijate Bien and Un Dia Normal are just as good. My favourite tracks on here are Podemos Hacernos Dano, Destino, Fijate Bien, Sonador and Para Que, although it's tough 'cos they're all really good songs, several with a serious point to make about the state of his country (he's from Colombia). I'd recommend this album to anyone who likes rock/indie style music and if you don't understand Spanish, albums like this may well make you want to learn!

I discovered Juanes solo work last year and since then I've spent ages trying to find anywhere that can get hold of Ekhymosis so thank you Amazon! All the songs on this album are fantastic, Juanes' vocals range from the venomous on songs like Traidores to poignant and moving on songs like Musica Enferma and La Decision. Then you have tracks like La Tierra and Raza that just demand to be heard and sung along to by the whole world. Not to mention many of the songs such as Roca Rosa, Traidores and various others make you want to air-guitar around whatever room you're in. The DVD has videos for three of the best songs. I was initially unsure whether the DVD would work properly with it being imported, but it works fine, at least on my player anyway ... Read More:
