I really liked Katie's first two albums but delayed buying this one for over 6 months because of all the poor reviews. And, having finally decided "what the heck,I'll see for myself", I was disappointed when I first played it through - despite having low expectations because of the reviews. Then I played it again and it wasn't quite so bad. And then I played it a lot in the car (& had the other albums there for comparison). And it grew and grew and grew on me. And now it is probably my favourite album of hers. My favourite tracks have varied over time, and I probably still feel that the middle is a little weaker. This is so mellow and dreamy. A perfect accompaniment to a 'deep' mood. Only don't listen to it whilst driving or operating heavy machinery as you'll probably find yourself falling asleep! Oh, and she has the most adorable chin cleft, not that it's evident just from listening to her singing, though. I think listening to this has cheered me up. It might work for you too!

This is brilliant. The remix is even better than the original album track. I would recommend it to anyone in doubt.

Great music, BUT ... The DVD appears to have some sort of protection on it, and will not play on my computer. I am not happy about this and will be returning the album. Items like this should have a warning about incompatibility with computer playback in the advert, so that we know when not to buy!

Lacks the magic of the songs of her earlier CDs but that's probably just my bias. This is not denying her ability as a superb singer and especially of jazz/blue music. Great rendition of 'Blues In The Night' and I liked too her singing of 'I Cried For You'. Regretfully, the selection on this CD does not compare favourably with that of 'Call Of The Search'.

The 'Closet Thing To Crazy' has to list as one of the greatest love songs, especially as sung by Katie Melua. Having heard it on numerous occasions I find it's a 'must buy'! It surely has an appeal to all generations from 15 upwards!
